Will not slide onto picatinny rails without marring finish!
This is not a hit on the seller, because they sent a replacement. However, both mounts failed to attach to my DD AR’s picatinny top rail. The problem is that the mounting mechanism is one piece instead of two. I was not able to slide the mount onto the rail because it was manufactured too tight. I contacted Nikon about this and they said to use a hammer to pound it on. I explained to them that this would severely mar the finish of my AR, and their response was pretty much, “Oh well.” If they designed this with a separate side clamp (like their M series), it would easily solve this problem. Very poor design, and poor customer service by Nikon.

Wont fit picatinny rail
Wont fit on a picatinny rail.Its way to tight to slide on. I would need to beat this thing on with a hammer. i filed a service case with nikon,... waiting on a response. Right now its hot garbage. I see others with same complaint and no resolution from Nikon so I'm not optimistic. Probably waisted $80. not to mention the down time. I hope the scope is better quality.

Awesome buy. Too bad the liberal overlords banned AR-15's. This mount is tailor made for the AR platform.
