White Buildings

Loved the poems, and the Introduction by Allen Tate was prescient and thoughtfully written, which I couldn't say for the Forward for John Logan. I couldn't finish it. He was just pushing a personal agenda which I found very distasteful. Too much of him and too little of the poet.

Ho scoperto solo di recente Hart Crane, grande poeta americano dalla vita tragicamente infelice. White Buildings è una delle sue più famose raccolte di poesie: belle, intense affascinanti, anche se spesso difficili ed oscure. Le lettura richiede impegno e lentezza ed il ricorso alle note che per fortuna abbondano. Ma ne vale la pena. Grande.
