Philips Avent My Easy Sippy Cup, Soft Spout, Spill-Proof, 9 oz, BPA-Free

After buying six total sippy and straw cup options to test out, this 2-pack from Philips Avent is the absolute winner! Our 6-month-old is currently only able to use this specific cup during meal times. He has not mastered how to use a straw yet, even with those special "squeeze-to-drink" options we purchased. Honestly, I should have known Philips Avent would take the crown, as it is the exact same brand we already use and trust for our daily baby bottles. Here is why this cup completely beat out the competition: The Perfect Middle Ground: I love that the design is not exactly like a baby bottle. He is successfully getting more liquid into his mouth than he would with a traditional bottle nipple, but the drinking concept isn't completely foreign to him like a straw. No Confusing Bite Valves: It avoids the issues we had with other devices on the market where the baby has to awkwardly bite down on the valve just to get liquid out or keep the cup from spilling. Prevents Big Spills: To be fair, it isn't completely 100% leak-proof, but it does an excellent job of preventing major spills. If it completely tips over, some water will come out, but it is definitely way less than a cup without a lid! Super Easy to Wash: Cleaning is a breeze. It is VERY easy to take completely apart and wash, which is a massive plus for daily mealtime use. Wish it Had Handle Options: While I actually like that the cups are handle-free for now, I really wish Philips Avent made matching handles that could be added on. It would be amazing if they offered an official handle option—even an after-market one that could fit their formula bottles too! Right now, I have to stretch my narrow Dr. Brown's silicone bottle handles onto these to make them fit, because the wide-neck Dr. Brown's handles are just too large. If you are transitioning a 6-month-old off of bottles and struggling with complicated straw or bite-valve cups, save your money and just buy these first. They make the transition completely seamless!

These are my daughter's favorite sippy cups. Just be careful because they do leak out a little bit. Definitely recommend these for older babies and toddlers.

These cups are great other than they leak! So if you intend to use these for meal time only you’re good but don’t let them walk around with it cause it will leak out

I tried a lot to move my child to straw cups at 1 year of age, but my child is nit ready. I am happy she loves these cups. Some people are complaining about leaks, well it won't leak if placed up side up and also it doesn't leak like the avent anticolic bottles leak at rings/rims. I wish these cups had markings on it. To me it doesn't look like 9-oz. I haven't checked how big it is.

This was the only sippy cup my daughter would use in the beginning. She was breastfed and refused bottles, so finding something she would accept was really important for us. This ended up being the one that worked. The soft spout seems to make a difference, and it was easy for her to use as she transitioned. It also held up well with daily use and was simple to clean. Every child is different, but if you are having a hard time finding a cup your little one will take, this might be worth trying. It made a big difference for us, and I would highly recommend it.

As an adult with a facial movement disorder that affects my mouth and ability to drink out of a cup, I drink out of sippy cups when I’m at home. Less spilling that way. I still have some of Avent’s previous version of a sippy cup made of hard plastic, and those are, how shall I say, psychologically better for an adult with impaired mouth functioning than the soft nipple that these come with. These ones are easier to clean than the old ones. The rate of liquid flow is greater with the older model and slower with this model of sippy cup, which can be frustrating when you’re really thirsty. I like that they’re easier to fit into a dishwasher basket but I miss the handles on the older Avent sippy cups. Overall a good product, and your small child probably can’t coherently articulate their gripes with these sippies, so, I would recommend them.

My daughter is right on the edge of transitioning from a bottle to a sippy cup. We have tried a few different kinds of sippy cups but hadn't found one that she liked. She can't quite figure out how to use ones with straws, and she's not quite strong enough to use the types where she needs to bite down on them. But this cup really works for her and she seems to love it! This cup is about the same size as her current bottles so holding onto it isn't an issue. The nipple is soft enough that she is able to operate it with no hassle. She still struggles with getting too much liquid at a time for her to handle, but she is starting to figure it out and she seems to be really enjoying herself. We have started giving her a sippy cup of either formula or water with her dinner every night. The only slight negative (and I do mean slight) is that the bottle does say that it is spill proof which is mostly true. However, if she drops the bottle and it lands nipple side down, the nipple is soft enough to deflect and leave behind a few drops of liquid. Don't know that I would consider this a "spill", but it is still a few drops which can still be annoying depending on the liquid. Overall really pleased and would recommend to anyone struggling to find a sweet spot between sippy cup and bottle like we were.

Son loves the cup. Easy to handle. Easy to use. Easy to clean. No straw but sippy work fine.

Philips Avent is tried and true for delivering purposeful, quality products you can depend on. Philips Avent My Easy Sippy Cup is no exception. This is a product I continue to repurchase. Not due to product defect, but due to common user error. If left unwashed for too long, nipples will suffer inevitable discoloration and retain odor as plastic does when improperly cared for. Children have a tendency to chew on nipples causing defect, or misplace vital pieces. I am sure replacement pieces can be found online. However the price is justifiable for full replacement as well. I simply repurposed my lidless cups as open cups for my growing child. I am pleased with this purchase and would recommend to other moms looking for convenient, easy to use, mess free sippy cups.

Avent Easy Sippy Cup is the only cup that my toddler would drink her water from. I have had a massive struggle convincing my little one to drink anything until someone suggested to try a different cup. I have purchased about 8-10 different cups so far and when I was about to give up and decide that perhaps my toddler just doesn't like drinking water I have found this cup on Amazon and ordered thinking this will be the last try. The cup is amazing and my daughter loves it! The flow is very natural so I would recommend it for parents who only began introducing sippy cups as well as for those who's children love playing with water as nothing will be spilled while using this cup. It's so amazingly designed that even when upside down in the changing bag no drop was spilled.
