Busy Birdies (A Busy Book)

I wanted a board book for my daughter who is 1 and loves birds. This book was perfect. The pictures are great and she loves paging through the book and looking at all the colorful birds!

There don't seem to be many picture books with photos of real birds for toddlers obsessed with them. This was the only one that fit the bill on Amazon, and it's pretty decent. Each page has birds doing something, so it should teach your kid some verbs.

My husband is really into birding, so we thought this would be a fun book that we could use to introduce our kids to birds. We couldn't be happier with our purchase! The books has great photographs of a variety of different birds (it was fun for my husband to try and name what each bird was). Then on each page it has a quick and simple phrase, which rhythms with the phrase on the next page of the spread. (For example: "Birdy stretching", "Birdy stepping" ). The words match what you see the bird doing in the photograph. It has a nice rhythmic pace to it and is just as fun to read as it is to look at the photos. Highly recommend it.

I love the "Busy" series of board picture books. My son loves them, too, although he is partial to dogs. I, however, love birds--and found the Busy Birdies book to be fantastic! Gorgeous pictures of birds doing what they do best! My favorite is the golden eagle, drinking water from what appears to be a lake or a large pond... Simply astounding! I can't recommend the "Busy" series highly enough! Our top picks are Busy Pengiuns, Busy Birdies, and Busy Barnyard!

Such a cute book! Great size for little hands and sturdy too! Very colorful pictures! It was perfect for my 1 1/2 year old who is obsessed with birds!

I purchased this as a gift for my grandson's 2nd birthday and it was a huge hit! He loves birds!!!!! I purchased some Minibird Finger Puppets to go with the book(s) and it was a great gift!

This book has great, real pictures of birds. The only thing I don't like is the use of "birdy" and "birdies," which seem so baby-talk-esque. Yes, it's geared toward younger children, but that doesn't mean book language has to be "baby talk."

I work in an Adult Foster care home. One of the residents has late stage Alsheimers. She is like a toddler in regards to TV shows (Sprout) and colorful pictures. For our Christmas party I ordered her 2 Busy books. She loves them! She can read some of the words but mostly she loves the pictures. She spends lots of time looking through the books. I am thrilled with these books!
