Campfire Meals Cheesy Hamburger Macaroni

This one need a little salt and pepper, but that is reasonable to expect from trail food although most of them including this one are high in sodium to begin with. Once a little seasoning was added it became a good meal. But, after eating many other meals from this brand this one the only one that still had some crunchy noodles that did not seem to fully hydrated although there was not a lot. If you are a fan of macaroni and cheese and think it would sound good after a day of hiking this brand was as good as other brands offering macaroni and cheese, which I know is not a resounding endorsement, but after testing a bunch of these types of meals sometimes its a winner as long as it is not disgusting and this one is far from that.I found the net weight of the food was almost exactly as advertised, just a touch higher and had about 53 calories per ounce, 45 calories from fat and 7 g from protein.I am not personally a fan of macaroni and cheese in general, but I would not hesitate to grab this brand if someone else in the ground liked it.

These are so delicious. Glad I got the largest package. I’ll be eating these in the woods all summer.

Yum!But I eat a lot of freeze dried foods, and I usually think they're good.

I'll start off by saying I rarely write reviews. Something has to be EXCEPTIONAL one way or the other to get me to actually put my thoughts out to the world. This was exceptionally BAD.I have stocked various different companies products that make this kind of food. I use it for camping, emergency preparedness, hiking, hunting, etc. I've tasted some pretty bad camping food but this is, without fail, the worst. I bought 4 because the price was so good and figured "what the heck." I should have bought 5 more and just thrown them all in the garbage. I figure it will actually take a real zombie invasion to convince me to eat this junk again. It has more value as a trade implement in a post-apocalyptic world than it does for camping. You'd be better off leaving it open in the middle of your campsite to keep the bears and other animals away from camp. I actually only ate about 3 bites and had to throw the rest away.Stick to the name brands. They've been getting it right for over 40 years, there's a reason for it.

The cheese part nearly tastes OK, but the meat parts are like rubber and taste like the floor of a morgue. I could not finish it when I tested. It would be better if they just left the meat out, went for a good Mac & Cheese flavor and then upped the protein with TVP or something.

Followed directions ,pasta was still under cooked ,and it was to salty.
