The Selfie Stick by Selfie Revolution is a monopod for your smartphone that allows you to easily take selfies by extending your distance from your smartphone/camera. This great device does not require any batteries, charging cables, special app downloads (although certain Android versions may only work with certain camera apps such as Camera 360), or Bluetooth connections. It comes with a built-in cable that simply plugs into the headphone jack on your smartphone. Then just extend the selfie stick to the desired length, click the built-in shutter button on the pole and smile for a beautiful selfie picture. The Selfie Stick is compatible with iPhone / iOS devices as well as Android devices. There is a small built-in cable on the Selfie Stick that plugs into the headphone jack of your phone. Most smartphones allow you to take a picture by pressing the volume buttons on your phone. This Selfie Stick works through the headphone jack by activating the volume button when the shutter button on the Selfie Stick is pressed. On some Android devices, you may need to activate a "volume key" or "camera key" setting in order to allows photos to be taken with the volume controls. A good way to test your phone's compatibility is to make sure that you can take a photo using the volume controls before even plugging in the Selfie Stick. In the rare event that your Android device doesn't allow such settings, then there are 3rd party camera apps you can install that provide that functionality. Please also note that since the Selfie Stick connects through the headphone jack, it may disable the microphone on your smartphone while it is plugged in. Therefore, the use of the Selfie Stick for videos is not optimal since it may interfere with the sound of the video. You can just unplug the cable while taking a video (but then the built-in shutter won't work to start or stop the video).
