Great if you're careful
After reading so many reviews that either love this drill bit or hate it hard, I've got to add my two cents. I'm no pro, but it drilled 4 holes through 1/2-inch porcelain for me and still looks like new. I think this is a tool you have to be careful to use correctly. Recommended speed for porcelain is 500 RPM. That's one-third of the maximum speed of your drill, maybe less. Recommended pressure is light. Although you will be tempted to push like mad, it may break the bit. Recommended water lubrication is frequent, like every 30 seconds or so. Following these recommendations, I found that my drill bit didn't even heat up, and it performed flawlessly. Hope that helps.

Does NOT hold up!
The bit broke right away, I even brought 2 to make sure I could get the hole drilled and both broke even before one hole was drilled. Don't waste your money!

great for stain glass work
My wife makes glass wind chimes this has been the best hole drill bit we have found and last the longest, it is used with a low-speed drill press and water bath to keep the bit cool

Buy a Different Bit
I found when buying a diamond tipped bit for drilling porcelain tile to spend more and buy a quality bit.Unfortunately this bit started to dull during my first hole, and was unable to use it for a second. I bought a new bit at a local supply house and was able to drill the 5 holes needed to finish with no problems, very accurate and much faster. It cost more than twice the price of this bit and was worth every penny.

Make sure you keep the bits wet while you're Drilling
These bits worked good I bought a cheaper set which burned out right away but these got the job done

It worked but took a long time to drill one ...
It worked but took a long time to drill one hole through a porcelain tile. One hole was all i needed, not sure how many holes this bit will last, maybe three?

Ok bit. Not long lasting
Didn't hold up long. Even in a water bath.

Awesome bit.
Great drill bit. I used it on porcelain and have drilled 10 holes and still going strong.
