This clock is adorable and brings a smile to my lips every time I check the time. I love cats and was happy that at least in my opinion this clock is humorous and not klutchy (is that the word?). It feels like ceramic, is colorful and is totally cute. I wouldn't recommend it to teach time though since it only has the 4 major numerals and perhaps one would need to be older to know when the hand is at 4:00 and 5:00 for instance. The Knitty Kitty clock hangs in my kitchen and I enjoy having it there. Highly recommend this line of clocks as they are artistic and different and there are many, many different designs to choose from.

An ideal clock for cat-lovers, Knitty Kitty's whimsical design is quite PURRfect! The colors are accurate to the product photo, and the clock seems to be keeping accurate time. I love the addition of a bird pendulum too.Keep in mind that this is a small wall clock. The cat itself is about 10 inches tall and 8.5 inches wide. With the pendulum, the cumulative height is about 13 inches.There is a small sturdy metal bracket on the back for hanging, and I am not sure if it is intentional, but the bracket on my clock is quite crooked. In order for the clock movement to be parallel to the floor as the instructions state, my clock sits a bit crookedly (even the numbers are not straight).FYI: The clock is made in China.

Workmanship is outstanding. The colors and attention to detail are just as pictured on Amazon site. This clock/piece of art, brightens any room where it is displayed. The whimsey of the clock brings joy, every time I see it. Purchased it for myself, and shortly thereafter, ordered another as a gift.
