Discovery Education MythBusters DVD is used to introduce students to physical science, and explores the concepts of energy conservation and harnessing “free energy” that some products claim to be able to do. The DVD is hosted by special-effects experts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, who use scientific methods for proving or disproving common beliefs about energy conservation. The 13-minute DVD is suitable for grades 6 to 12, and includes a downloadable teaching guide.
