High Heel Tips Replacement Dowels (6 Pair) - Black, Medium

I really liked these heel tips. The ONLY reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that it is very difficult to tell which size tips are for which types of shoes. It would be helpful if the site showed sample shoe heels (not just measurements), I even measured mine and still got them too big. There wasn't a return/exchange option in the box, so I am going to purchase the smaller sizes. FYI to all those that wear pumps... Normal size tips are going to be in the 8-10 range, NOT the 11-13. I am super excited to get my new smaller ones though, the quality seems very good and they are easy to put on after removing the old ones. I will be interested to see the length of time these last versus when I take them to a shoe repair place. Would love to be able to buy bags of just 8 or just 9 and not the variety pack.

Great heel tips - size 9 worked for my boots. Helped me save a lot of money than if I had gone to the cobbler to get it done.Anyone complaining about the dowel size clearly did not do their research before purchasing. This is not the seller's fault. Make sure you remove your old pair's heel first and measure it to know what size you need. I ordered this brand as I knew I would need 2.9mm. By the way, the seller clearly states on this page that their product 2.9mm, so again, people seem to not be reading properly before ordering.That said, I am taking off one star as I wish we could order just one pair of heel tips as required. Also wish they had other sizes like 9x10 and other dowel sizes, which would be useful for some of my shoes. This is my request to the seller. Thanks!

3 stars.. because there is a common issue here.The item is good quality, but here is the issue.... NOWHERE is the pin thickness given. And guess what... the pins are too thick to use on my shoes, three different pairs.I cannot completely fault the supplier here, as you would think that shoes would all use the same diameter hole for the pins on the heels.. but nope. But what the supplier could be doing here is giving buyers information on pin thickness AND offer tip replacements with smaller pins.

Arrived fast and in very good condition. Unfortunately, the pin is too thick and won't fit my shoes. So I can't say I have tried them in that sense. I guess it's a hit or miss when it comes to purchasing heel tips online as you cannot compare the pin thickness of the existing pin to the new pin. My shoe seems to have a metal channel where the pin goes in. A larger pin won't fit in there. Perhaps there should be a dimension given for the diameter of the pin to help mitigate this issue.

These saved a pair of shoes that were in great shape, except for the heel tips. I had worn the tips down to the metal, but the shoe itself was fine. I ordered the 8, 9, 10mm pack and used the 10mm. The post was a little smaller than the previous one, but I just forced a thin piece of cardboard into the hole along with the new tip and made sure the tip was secure. I've been wearing the shoes five days a week for the last couple weeks and have had no issues. The tips are very quiet on tile floors - much quieter than the original tips. I also feel stable when I walk on tile - the tips grip well, so I don't have to worry about slipping. I will continue to buy these and have recommended to friends.

I wasn't sure at first what size to get for my heels but decided to try one out. It came with 3 sizes; 8,9, and 10. The 10 ended up the one fitting. However, the metal part didn't quite fit snuggly so I had to use super glue to keep it from moving. Overall I'm very satisfied and know which size to order in the future. And shipping arrived early than expected which is a definite plus! Thank you.

The sizes were correct, but the posts were a little small. I tried them in two different pairs of my wife's shoes and they could easily spin around. Maybe you could include a small bottle of a proper adhesive? I would even be ok with paying a little more for the package with the inclusion of the adhesive. I used a basic superglue that I had in the house, I hope that was ok.Randy

I really like the concept, and I found an easy tutorial on YouTube. Unfortunately, the posts seem to be too small for what I removed. Comparing the old one next to the new one they seem to be the same size, but obviously they aren't quite. So far I have only tried them on one pair of shoes, so hopefully the next pair I try will work out well.
