I want to use this for fishing. will it reliably read flowing surface water temp? what "emisivity" settings for salt/fresh h2o?

How is this different from IR thermometers that have both and object mode and human mode? Anything special?

Hello AbGT, Infrared thermometers can only read surface temperatures and not internal temperatures. So an infrared thermometer won't be able to read human temperatures.
