I enjoy the book's immense variety
A Santa Fe photography book this comprehensive requires both a longtime resident and a master photographer. See it as either a travel book or photography book: it's both. I enjoy the book's immense variety, and as a professional photographer myself I especially appreciate some stellar images that can stand with any great photography book. Peach's "Making a Hand" is already a classic of Western photography. This book is the best photo tour I've seen of Santa Fe.

Gene Peach’s “Santa Fe” could be called “Heartland”
Gene Peach’s rich color and swirling photos leave stereotypes behind and honor Santa Fe: its roots, history and the people that live in this place of shifting beauty. The book is resolute in displaying the cultural underpinnings of this magical place, which was built on fascinating diversities. “Santa Fe” from cover to cover is an energetic dance mingling nature and man.Everyone should own this book: those who are already in love with Santa Fe, those who want to reference it more completely and those who are traveling here for the first time and need a perfect guide.

Gorgeous Book
You don't have to live in Santa Fe to love this book. The richness of the photographs, and the sensitivity of the photographer, makes this simply a great art photography book, period. That its subject is Santa Fe is not incidental, however. Gene Peach shows a deep love and understanding of the town that is like no other in the U.S. with all its diversity of cultures, quirkiness and natural beauty. The texts that accompany these astonishingly beautiful pictures is also richly thought-out and unobtrusively presented. This is a wonderful book to own or to give as a gift to anyone who loves photography, and/or Santa Fe.

Beautiful Work!
Gene Peach captures the heart of Santa Fe and the area. Everything from art to architecture; from culture to color. The photography is artful and some of the finest I have seen. The colors pop and bring this City Different to life. This book is laid out beautifully. The textual descriptions are pure poetry. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves art, architecture, culture, beauty, the west, and this historic town in particular.
