GiveBest Space Heater, Portable Space Heaters for Indoor Use

I rent an apartment in a 100 yr old house that has minimal insulation and serious draft issues, so it devours electricity during extreme weather. I use space heaters in closed off rooms/sections as needed rather than wasting money trying to heat an entire 900+ sq ft wind tunnel with 10 ft ceilings with heat pump/natural gas. It’s wasteful- Economically, eco-energetically, and financially. Winters here in the mid-southeast have become incredibly mild over the past couple of decades, so it’s just not necessary to add yet another utility bill to the monthly list of “things I give other people money for”. lol. I bought this heater to use during our unusually cold winter of 2025/26 to warm the air around water pipes in a crawl space during the sub freezing weeks. If those pipes freeze up, all three of the occupied apartments in the house are in big trouble. The set up: To keep the heater as level and upright as possible and to ensure that the safety shut off switch was correctly engaged, I placed it on top of an old heavy duty cookie sheet on a level spot of ground (unfinished dirt crawl space - no flooring) near the pipes but well distanced from any flammable surfaces. I ran a heavy duty weatherproof extension cord out from the slightly open kitchen window(which I later sealed off with plastic and gaffer tape), through the ground level wooden door, and into the crawl space. I checked every few hours to be sure my set up stayed put and that the heater continued to run safely. {Very fortunately, we never lost power. Knock wood for future.} It never overheated - partly due to the chilly ambient air and partly from the auto controls on the heater itself - and it worked perfectly to keep the pipes from freezing up. It puts out great heat for its size, works better than I expected it to, sturdier than I expected it to be, too. On colder but not sub freezing nights, I used it to keep the cat’s personal bed area comfortable so she wouldn’t keep crawling and jumping on me all night trying to to 1)get under the covers with me to get warm and/or 2)thrashing her way out from under the covers after she’s become too warm or needs more oxygen. Conversely, I’ve used the “fan only” option (not to be confused with only fans) to keep my iPhone and iPad from overheating on the handful of 90 degree days we’ve already experienced this spring. So, A+ for versatility. I’ve been sure to keep the little heater clean, to keep it’s motor debris free and in good shape. It’s demonstrated no signs of functional difficulties at all thus far. ***In my estimation, it paid for itself the first night I used it. Pipes are intact, all housing occupants safely survived the blizzards of ‘26. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This is a strong little heater. With the big storm moving through I've been putting this to the test. So far it has been excellent at heating my office and keeping me toasty warm. I recommend setting the left dial up near max and initially putting the right control on the "II" setting until your room is around what you like. At that point, set the dial to "I" and arrange the left dial until just above where it automatically turns off. That has been working pretty well for me so far. This is a pretty good heater and I can recommend getting it for a room you intend to spend time in. It's light enough you can even bring with you to work or to some other event and then pack it up to go home. Yes, I have done this. And, yes, the others have appreciated it. I should mention that because the heater is light that it can get knocked over by the unwary walker. Thankfully, the heater automatically shuts down until you set it upright again, so there's not much of a problem in that department. A final point: There is a bit of an odd smell when turning up the heat. That smell fades after you "break it in", so the problem is a temporary one. The heater is quite reasonably priced, so go ahead and give it a try.

There are a dozen mini ceramic heaters I looked at; but the reviews ultimately led me here instead. (To be fair, I also needed a mini heater that would arrive by the next morning, in time to help against the unusual -8 F Real Feel temperature our region was getting. So there were a few nice looking ones for less; but they would have taken several days to arrive.) What I love about this. You can really adjust it to your liking! — It has a dial for how light or strong you want the air/heat to flow out. It is a dial spectrum, so you can really control how lightly or hard the heat is blowing out of the unit. — It has 3 settings: Low, High, or Fan (just air, no heat). To determine a modest warmth, or toasty heat. There is a button on the underside, so if you knock it over, the unit stops. Safety feature. Our central heat was broken and we had a space heater. But by my bed is wall to wall glass. I also have mice in a cage. The glass was so cold, even with the one space heater. This lil unit was placed to give some soft warmth to my bed area and the terrarium a few feet away. Because I can adjust the flow and the heat, I was able to customize our area in a way that everyone was comfortable enough during the very cold snap. I didn’t care for the look; but it’s not bad. It is light weight, and small without being too dinky to matter. The area I used it for is about an 8’ x 8’ nook that opens into a larger studio room area. I have a regular space heater I usually use to heat the 600 square foot room; however with minus 8F Real Feel and wall windows, I didn’t want anyone (even the wee ones) to get too cold.) We were perfectly cozy because I could adapt the flow and heat enough to suit a range of temperatures. If you are within 5-6’ of it, you can enjoy a nice heating blast if you need one. Or you can have a very gentle, milder warmth to enjoy. Hopefully it lasts for more than one winter. It works well.

I gave this 4 stars because unlike the others I have purchased, it was more money, but it does have a lot of heating power. And the fact that it stays on but if kicked over it automatically goes off, I really appreciate that. These are very small heaters, but they do increase the temperature of the room I would say about 12°, which is not awesome, but it's not horrible either. I buy these to keep my kittens warm in the winter, and I love the fact that you can actually put it outside of the door and it goes through the cracks as opposed to having it right up on them, because the actual heater base gets very hot which I don't like. Other than that I would recommend it as a great under $30 heater. I noticed that the plugs get very hot in the outlets from this thing, so I started putting it on an extension cord, which you're probably not supposed to do so don't take that advice. For me, I will do that especially because of the older building we live in to prevent the outlets from heating up.

I bought this because we run primarily off solar (off grid) and low- wattage is important to me. We use this when we don't feel like building a fire I live in Southern California at 3,000 feet elevation. In the winter time it's on average 60°, and at night can be anywhere from the low 40s to the low 30s and occasionally it dips into the 20's. Our tiny home is 400 ft² total but has a wall in the middle so two rooms at 200 ft² each. If you are sitting in front the heater, within 2 feet, it's toasty warm. If you sit to the side, you get nothing. If you are trying to keep two people warm, you have to back it up significantly, and without that close proximity the effectiveness goes down quite a bit. Let's say if two people were sitting close to each other on a couch. If you move the heater close enough to get that toasty factor, it will essentially be heating one leg of each person. But as far as heating a whole room, it definitely raises the temperature, but not by a whole lot. For instance right now it's about 55 outside, and with the heater running on the lowest setting all morning in this room it's about 65 in here. It's enough of a difference to where when you walk inside you can detect that it's slightly warmer, but we still have to wear warm clothes and slippers. But it works great if you are right in front of it. So if you have a desk you're working at, or if you put it by your bed at night, or in your bathroom while you shower, it's perfect. As far as actually heating 200 ft²? Not really. And in colder temperatures I don't think it would make a difference at all. But I'm giving it five stars because it does have the low wattage option, and it works well for my needs. Also I have had this thing for several years now, I use it almost daily in the winter, and it's still running strong.

This is a great close distance heater. It is compact, and has a quality feel to it. I use it in the master bath in my apartment. It will heat the shower area just enough to take the chill out of the surrounding air when you jump out of the shower. This would make a great at work desk heater if you need that. There is two settings which is nice. The low setting is good if you’re going to put it next to you; I use the higher setting to take the slight chill out of the air around the shower first thing in the morning. I’ve had it for a year now and it is still going strong. What’s not to like? I give this the highest rating.

We love these heaters in our small offices/cubicles at work! Out of 3 that were purchased, one stopped working after a few months. I wrote the company, followed the return/refund process and they sent me a new one free of charge! (Apparently, they upgraded the heaters recently and that one was a previous model so they sent the new model right off the line!) The customer service lady Winter helped me. It was easy and the new heater came within 30 days! The heater works great, has a good price point, great settings and options, and great customer service from the company. What more could you ask for?

This small space heater works better than I expected. I didn't want a remote control or digital reading, like most have now. I have returned 4 other space heaters that were cheaper and more expensive because they didn't put out the heat like this one does. It is simple, easy to use, blows out the heat, has a lower heat setting of 750 so it doesn't blow a circuit breaker in my RV. Heats up my bedroom in very little time. It is so worth every penny. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5, is because it doesn't have on dial or in instruction manual which setting is 750 or 1500, and it is a little louder than I thought it would be, but it's not bad. I have only had it for 2 days and love it. If it ever does stop working, I would buy the same one again.

This was for sale in UK Amazon site and did not state it is only for use in North America. It has US plug and is 120V 60Hz so cannot be used in the UK. Don't buy in the UK unless you want to take it to the USA.

I read some of the reviews that seem to praise this little unit. Out of the box it did not look like much. It was light but yet well built and not too light that you would knock it over easily. Many said it heats very well and we purchased it during the ice storm when we had no power to run off our generator. Not only does it not take much power but it does heat very quick and very well. It's small and don't expect it to heat the house. But it can very well warm up a room of 200 square feet. If you purchased two or three you could definitely warm up a nic sized area. All to say I was very impressed. I also like the fact that when you lift it or if you happened to knock it over, that there is a safety feature that stops the unit immediately. I definitely recommend.
