Great!
Very nice scope using this and a Bushnell 2-6 on a TC contender. the Bushnell has a reported eye relief 20 inches vs the 15 on the leupold, but I have noticed very little difference between the two (I'm ~6'2" with long arms, and I can hold the pistol at arms length) wrt eye relief. The leupold has much sharper optics and repeatable adjustments (turn it 4 clicks and you get the expected 1/2 inch POI movement at 50 yards). I will be getting another.

It's a Leupold 'nuf said
I hooked this scope up to my S&W 629 for deer hunting. It has taken a pounding from my 44 mag with hot loads. It has not lost zero. It has a beautiful finish that holds up very well with normal use. This scope has out lasted me. I can't take the pounding of the 44 anymore. Coupled with Jack Weigand Mounts you have a winner

No recoil issues
Mounted this on my Magnum Research BFR 10” 45-70 and it handles the recoil with no issues. Great scope, the eye relief is perfect and I would recommend it.

Leupold quality control is sorely lacking + Update
Update: Just got my replacement Leupold scope. It’s just as bad as the one I sent back. Unless the eye piece is SUPPOSED to be cloudy, I just threw away $700. That’s the 3rd Leupold scope that has had quality control issues.......... This is the 2nd Leupold scope I've purchased in a month that is defective (only one from this seller, the other was from Midway) … As soon as I popped it out of the box I noticed something was wrong with the eyepiece. There is a 3/4 inch swirl cloud in the center of the eyepiece and what maybe is fine scratches. It's very annoying, Leupold used to be one of the best.

Good but could be better at the price
Pros:-Good optical quality.-Not too heavy.-Good quality finish.-Large zoom range (mostly use 2.5x tbh).Cons:-Mushy turrets (better than Freedom line though).-Extremely tight eye box above 4x.-Eye relief is a little odd, too short for normal pistol stances but too long for comfortable supported use.

Very clear as expected from Leupold. My only mistake ...
Very clear as expected from Leupold. My only mistake was also purchasing the Warne scope rings. They tighted beyond the recommented torque and damaged my scope a bit. Made dents on the top next to the power selector ring.

Probably the best Pistol Scope out there.
I will be using this for my 460 XVR when I finally pick it up from my FFL. I've seen pics of these together and they look awesome! From what I've read from many reviews, is that the eye relief and quality is great. I would have bought the Leupold 4x for a lot less, but it's out of stock everywhere.UPDATE: Still waiting for my revolver and sent this scope back. The lens had debris inside it. I could see buffing marks, and they sent the wrong lens covers. The covers were for 28mm not 32mm. With all of those things, I'll be waiting on a Burris 2.5-7 zoom to come back in stock for $300 less.

Leupold vx-3 variable power handgun scope
Leupold quality in a variable power handgun scope. I put this on my Ruger Super Redhawk 480 after my last (not Leupold) scope failed. This is a nice clear scope that should hold up well.
