we love our pop corn and use air poppers.... this one is NOT deluxe at all... the shape allows MOST OF THE kernels to be blown out of the unit all over the counter making it impossible to continue.... i have purchased 6 orville redenbakers for my family as gifts and those are wonderful.... i bought this one because it said "deluxe", "has a switch" and "is more expensive"... ok the switch works but it wont pop corn because the shape of the chute allows most of the kernels to escape making a BIG mess, and this unit is much smaller so if it actually ever popped corn there would be less of it....*buy this one instead,,, it works with only a few kernels escaping  Presto 04821 Orville Redenbacher Hot Air Corn Popper

Not only was/is it a wonderful color. it is my favorite color. that is what caught my attention. it was/is nlisted at a very attractive price. i am very confidence is recommending this seller!!

Who in the hell engineered this thing and felt it was adequate to sell to consumers? It's like they built it without testing it before putting it on the market. There are a lot of similar styled poppers like this on the market but bottom line....THE KERNELS EXPLODE OUT OF THE OVERLY HUGE OPENING, BLASTING UNPOPPED KERNELS AND POPCORN EVERYWHERE... I would say 30% of the kernels don't get popped, and if you are not standing there to grab the last few pieces of popcorn that are spinning at the bottom, they will burn. This model was a gift, but we had an almost identical popper that died on us after a few uses. This leads me to believe that the motor/heater probably wears out quickly or overheats and burns out, so I wouldn't leave this thing on for very long. I feel sorry for whoever paid $49 for this, but even now at $18, there is absolutely no reason to buy this....

This machine starts off with a reasonable level of noise, but turns into a vibrating monster after 40 seconds. You can decrease the noise by holding the machine in a firm grip - but that shouldn't be necessary. It also fails to pop a lot of the kernels (you can improve this by holding the machine at a 30 degree angle tilted towards the back). By contrast, my previous popcorn machine that cost $13 at Walmart was AMAZING. The only advantage this has is that it has an on/off switch.

This thing is a piece of junk! It blows un-popped kernels and popcorn all over the place, no matter what kind of container or bowl you use. It blows out more kernels than it pops. It takes multiple batches to get enough actual popcorn for 2 people. My advice: either go back to microwave popcorn (which may not be as healthy as we once thought) or so some research and buy a popper with good reviews from lots of people.

Total waste of money not to mention the waste of hot unpopped kernels that will fly all over counter and floor. Horrible product and can't seem to find who manafactured it to let them know how bad it is. Or maybe they do know and don't care as still being sold.

I want to reiterate the other reviewer's sentiments. This contraption blows almost all the kernels OUT of the popper. Whether you add a large or small quantity of kernels, they go flying all over the counter and floor! It is a MESS!! We tried rigging up paper on it to keep the kernels in, but then the popcorn burned. Furthermore, the popcorn that does manage to get popped is very dry since there is no oil whatever involved in cooking, lest the machine become damaged. What a waste of money!

I disagree completely with the other posts. Granted, I bought this product on sale for $5. BUT--it is a great product. The noise it annoying, but the corn pops within 1:30. Other reviews have complained that the pop corn pops out all over the place. The solution is to GET A BIGGER BOWL. Nothing too huge, but not a cereal bowl. The corn is dry, but healthier than if popped with oil. Other than the noise, this product is great.
