I haven't had this for very long so I cannot speak of whether it lasts over time. I do know I had 2 year old Dyson and it would turn off after a minute. Not having the money for a new vacuum and not 100% sure what was wrong, I tried ordering a new battery. Putting it in was easy (just followed a video I found online). Definitely nice to have a working vacuum again.

Don't buy it... IT FAILED TO CHARGE IN 2 MO
It says its a bigger battery than what is stock. But it doesn't seem to run any longer. It was much cheaper than the original oem part so overall happy........... NOT HAPPY JUNK ......... IT WONT TAKE A CHARGE
