Big Wes Storage Box And Seat Black

Mounted it on Kawasaki 650 Prairie. I had to raise the front of the rear rack with about an inch using new bolts and spacers to make the rack level because the rack slopes toward the front on the Prairie and the passenger kept sliding forward out of the seat. The passenger felt uncomfortable riding so high so I removed the Big Wes seat bottom and used it as a backrest allowing the passenger to sit on the existing large, comfortable stock ATV seat. That was awesome. It gave a very safe feeling to be surrounded by the Big Wes and the seat bottom is tapered - thicker at the front than the back - so placing the fat part at the bottom provided a comfortable sloped backrest with a sort of lumbar support. It doesn't look like there is much storage when you pull the Big Wes out of the box and the storage is a narrow U shape but it holds LOTS of stuff. I can put 2 one one gallon Walmart gas cans on each side as well as lots of other gear across the back. It opens from the front so the passenger can open it while moving. It keeps things relatively clean but does not have a rubber seal. The hand holds are pieces of aluminum angle and are not very comfortable to hold onto. I ended up putting my palms on the top surface of the Big Wes and curved my fingers curved under the handholds and that worked fine. In the future I will make a custom seat-back to take the place of the Big Wes seat bottom used for that purpose. The workmanship is good. It looks awesome on my Prairie. They have a nice product and I would purchase it again in a heartbeat.

Very difficult to locate the holes for drilling because of the rounded bottom. I suggest placing seat where you want it and using tape to outline the bottom of the seat then take your measurements from there. You will also need to put tape in the bottom of the seat to get a mark on it. Only other way to locate the holes would be to remove the rack and put the seat upside down then mark them that way but that would of been way too much work for this project. Once seat was installed it looks great. Only downside is the seat cushion is small and the person tends so slide forward. The top back rest fastens by just pushing plastic grips into 3 holes. Not sure how secure it will be when someone isn't on it going down the trail.

We are very happy with this seat. It accommodates a "generous" sized person. Some mentioned about legs rubbing on the sides. We had no such experience. We also did not find the seat to slip much on downhill areas. We used it on extensive ATV trails (Ride the Wilds) in NH of varying terrains for the day and it remained just as comfortable at the last as it did in the beginning. As others have mentioned the cargo area is generous. We too found the hand grips not that comfortable, but we also did not have to use them for any extended periods. All in all we highly recommend this seat. Well worth the price!

I like the seat and storage space very much. You will have to place a extra seat cushion on top of the padded seat because of the edge of the storage box under the padded seat cause's a ridge to set on.My wife likes the seat very much with the extra cushion;It has lots of storage space. It has built in hand holds,which are a nice place to hold on to. We also added fender guards with foot pegs which is very good, because her feet and legs don't go to sleep or get tired anymore.

Storage box seat arrived in perfect condition. Product is as illustrated. Fits perfectly on the ATV. Only complaints are that the metal hand hold is uncomfortable after about half hour into riding and the seat is very slippery causing the rider to slide forward into the driver when going downhill. Comfortable seat. Easy to install on Polaris Sportsman 500. I did have to cut the flag mount off of my rear rack to make it fit right, but who flies an orange flag on an ATV anyway? I put the u-bolts around the rack bar instead of the bottom of the rack. Worked fine. It would be nice if there was some way to bungy cord things on the outside of the box. I recommend this seat.

I like this seat for the storage aspect, but as some others have noted the seat isn't very comfortable. The slick texture makes it impossible to stay in place against the back. I have a 2014 Arctic Cat 500 4x4 ATV, and the rack is slightly sloped which seems to be one of the bigger issues. If not for the great storage capacity I probably recommend avoiding it.

I had ordered this cargo box for the seat more than the storage. I received it and the storage part of it is very roomy. The latches that hold it shut seem to be of good quality as for the seat also. The only thing I can say I had a problem with was there was no hardware with it.The description says it comes with hardware. I'm sure it was the U-bolts which is fine by me I have a polaris and they won't work with my rack anyways. I received it 3 days before the estimated time frame which was nice. All in all good product,good price,and good service....
