Read the hilarious, candid (and sometimes not-so-nice), diaries of Jamie Kelly, who promises that everything in her diary is true -- or at least as true as it needs to be. They were just a soft, ordinary pair of thrift-shop jeans until Jamie Kelly tried them on . . . Then they became a tight, scratchy, slightly smelly, and utterly ordinary pair of thrift-shop jeans with an embarrassing haunting problem. Do the pants have the power to soothe a vengeful beagle, vanquish The Prettiest Girl in the World, or make the wearer irresistible to the eighth cutest guy in the grade? Are the haunted pants so dazzling they can hurt and maybe permanently damage the eyes of onlookers? Or are the haunted pants just, well, haunted (which is kind of gross when you think about it)? Review: Great Book! - Dear All, I just wanted to write you and share my joy! I have finally found a book series that my daughter (5th) loves to read: The Dear Dumb Diaries series. I am so excited! I know that these are not the longer chapter books that the school would like for her to pick up and try, but... Miracle: My daughter is reading on her own and loving it!! Reading has been a struggle for my daughter for awhile. She was thankfully in Title I last year but it was still like pulling teeth to get her to pick up a book at home on her own. But now when I announce reading time she picks up one of these books and reads for long periods of time. Sometimes I even find her locking the bathroom door for privacy and uninterrupted reading time. She has even tried to read in bed after hours with a flash light! (Surprisingly, my 13 year old sometimes picks them up for a quick fun read! She told me that she remembers loving to read these books). As an avid reader myself, this is what I have always imagined for my children...reading and loving books. I have started buying the entire series in hopes that is plants a seed and creates a love of reading that transitions into other books as well. My daughter has also just announced that she would love to have some of the "Franny K. Stein" series. Her entire class is waiting for the 1 that is in the library. I am ordering today! Just thought I would share and say Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Every penny is worth it.... (Some are literally 1cent on desertcart :o) Sincerely, A grateful Mother and School Social Worker Review: Drunk Bought This. No Regrets. - Don't ask why, but I loved reading this book when I was younger. It's super sarcastic and witty. Well, I got drunk one night and somehow this book crossed my mind. Now that I'm an adult, I have the power to open my desertcart account and order crap when I'm drunk, so drunk me went and bought the book. I don't regret it. It's still funny. Brings back memories of me and my budding sarcasm. Thanks!

7 year old loves it
My daughter loves all of these books. Her twin brother, who is such a BOY, likes them too. They both find the series really funny. A great way to get kids interested in reading! What a nice surprise as she received one of these books as a gift, and now we have almost all of them. The only thing I don't like (hence 4 stars instead of 5!) is that you can't get it on kindle. The kids got iPod touches for Xmas and want to read all of their books on kindle. Plus, i hate the clutter of having all these paper books everywhere. What a bummer. Get with it, authors!

It was amazing!
I chose a 5 star rating because, first of all I'm not reading this, my grandchild loves this series. She loves how open-minding the main character,Jamie Kelly, is and she reads like 5 a day of course not including school days. Her favorite part was when they caught Sally with isabella's fragrance which was perfume samples in magazines. She would recommend this for kids ages 7-12 that's just her opinion of course. It was awesome though!

Okay
Its okay , not the best book. It has a good plot but it doesn't really have a interesting plot. I would not really recommend this book, but if you liked the 1st book you might like this. Written by a 9 year old

The best book ever!!!
A great book that makes you constantly want to read more! This is definitely one of my favourite books ever!! I'm normally quite picky with books but this one was definitely worth a 5-star rating!!! The main character is always talking to her diary but it really feels like she talking to you (the reader). My teacher also said that they've helped me to improve in my writing because I've picked up on some of her brilliant use of vocabulary!! LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!!

Dear dumb diary 2: review
I gave this book 5 stars because I think it is funny, and very suitable for girls my age (11). I would recommend it to all of my friends and to girls around my age. I like the way her beagle (stinker) is very naughty and I like the way she thinks her trousers are haunted! There wasn't really anything negative I thought about this book.
