A true miracle saver for fresh cut hydrangeas dip the hydrangea in this and it will stay looking beautiful in that water for at least a week. I don’t know what you would use this spice for, but it works for the hydrangeas.

This is a useful product. It's used for cold sore bumps you get your mouth.

Mixed results using alum for my hydrangeas. I lucked out this year and my hydrangeas have bloomed prolifically. I normally try not to cut them until fall but with heavy rains the massive bushes took some damage and so I decided to enjoy some inside. Way too much wilting going on so I decided to give the alum a go. After waiting four days for this to arrive I recut the stems minimum one inch and then dipped into the powder. So far the results have been mixed but it’s worth the small price and a good item to have in my pantry. I also tried using it as a mouth rinse on a troubled tooth as I read here in the reviews. Tried once so I have no idea if it will help but again, certainly worth a try. Great purchase.

McCormick Alum is exactly what I needed for my pickling recipes. The quality is excellent, and it dissolves well without clumping. I’ve also used it for a few craft projects, and it works just as expected. The 1.9 oz size is perfect for occasional use and comes in a sturdy, resealable container.
