Thunderbirds: The Comic Collection

A great addition for anyone that has a collection of " THUNDERBIRDS" Items. A collection of British comics, a friend of mine noted that one of the writers was also a writer for the JUDGE DREADD comics.

Great book!

VERY GOOD QUALITY PRINTING OF VERY GOOD COLOR ART.BUT THE BOOK BROKE APART 1 WEEK LATER.ALSO THESE ARE GOOD STORIES,BUT ARE NOT"COMIC BOOKS"BUT"COMIC STRIPES.J.CA.

Many, if not all, of these strips were reprinted in the early 90s by Ravette Publishing, who did a much better job on the reproduction than Edgmont did with this volume/edition. In doing a side-by-side comparison, the darker blues and greens (for example) in the Ravette editions appear black in Edgmont's newer edition and fine detail of the line art is lost as well.Considering how scanning, reproduction and printing technology has made a quantum leap forward in the 25 years since the Ravette editions were published, there is no excuse for such poor quality.I agree with the other reviewers that the stories are still fun and Bellamy's art is very good. It's a shame that this publisher's reproduction of it does NOT do it justice!

Great gift for any fan!

This comic is a delight to read! Every time I open it, I feel like I’m on a proper International Rescue assignment. The artwork is wonderful and accurate in its detail, the plots are interesting and, for the most part, easy to imagine as episodes from the TV series and the characters are exactly as they are on the show! There are a couple of flaws, however. One of them is minor: in one frame, Virgil calls Scott ‘Little Brother’, suggesting that Scott is younger than him. This creates a consistency error, since Scott is actually the older sibling in the franchise. The other is a story when Thunderbirds One and Two must bring down an alien from outer space. Though the thrills and spills run plenty, this lacks the realism of a Thunderbirds story, even if the franchise is Sci-Fi. However, these are minor issues, and I hope this book will entertain many others as it did me. I’m sure many people would like to know what happens when International Rescue’s security is breached, or how Lady Penelope and Parker met!

Ordered this book as part of a package on Wednesday 31st, came two days late after some problems. I have always loved Thunderbirds, and this book makes me love them more. With up to 34 adventures - including fact and figures of the machines, people and homes - i was quite surprised. But never the less the book is surprising well done- drawn and coloured just like it used to be - although the wording is small and unreadable at times, buts it ok, as far as im concerned.
