It's cute and keeps time well for a spring-loaded timer. I haven't timed the timer, but it's accurate enough for me. As one poster noted, you have to turn it past the number of minutes you need to time and then turn it back to the number you want. I turn it all the way and then work back, as that's the way my former times worked.

first one broke, but i got a new free one right away. they look really nice, but dont keep time well. i would rely on a wall clock instead of a timer. but im really happy i got a free replacment.

I purchased my chicken timer from French Presents Emporium and received one that wasn't working. I asked for a refund and they gave me the option to send a new one or get money back. I chose to get another and they said they'd test it before they sent it out to me. I have a working timer now that's really cute! The only confusing thing is the picture it shows of what I purchased (gray specks on wings and also on its chest) is different from what I received (blue specks only on wings), but my review picture is the chicken I received when I clicked to write this review, so don't really understand that. However, both the one in the picture and the one I received are very cute. I'm happy with my timer, the fast shipment and the wonderful customer service given to me.

I purchased this chicken timer because of the all-over gray speckles. The timer I received only has the speckles on the wings, like the yellow one pictured elsewhere on Amazon. If I'd had an accurate picture I would not have chosen this timer. I'm disappointed.

Needed a timer and this was so cute and funny we had to have it. And it works well - accurate to within about a minute, usually, and the "ding" is loud enough to monitor from the next room.The tricky thing is knowing how to use it. I suspect it is attracting some of the negative reviews because people naturally don't "get" the how-to from the included directions, which are baffling and nonsensical. (Directions refer to rotataing it in a direction without specifying whether this means from the top or bottom view, or which part is rotating.)Here's the real deal. First set the indicatcator to a time beyond about 20 minutes - then if your intended time is less, rotate it *back* to the intended time (for example 5 min.). Then it will tick clearly and go off at the correct time.

Super cute. This is my second one. Has problem ringing sometimes. My friend, who hasn't replaced hers, doesn't have problems. Maybe it's me? Don't care. Stickin' with my chicken!

I would love this product for itts style, but it broke soon after I had it. I think my family was a bit rough on it as I have three teens. Keep making it, I really do like it

Came sooner than expected. Very cute so far works as it should. For my mother who can't hear well.Easy,not technically difficult, does not hurt hands with small pieces,not difficult to turn or stop where you want it. Its great that you turn it all the way then back no forcing or breaking. Its loud enough for a partially deaf older person to hear when left near by. (She leaves it on her glass coffee table where she sits most of the time.) Its also darn cute.
