Simply Amazing, dead ants, dead ants,...., ..........
Amazing....I bought some Antopia carpenter ant kits last year for my cottage where we have been overrun with carpenter ants for years. I loaded them up with the nectar that comes with the kit, screwed them into the ground and let them be. I really never saw any activity in or around the traps in my sporadic observations. I don't live there so I was only checking on the weekend we were there. However, it dawned on me later in the summer that we have absolutely no carpenter ants and they are normally everywhere. I was wondering what might have happened as I never really noticed them at the traps. Either way I was pleased as the problem seems to be taken care of for whatever reason.In the fall when I emptied the traps to put them away for our severe winter months, I noticed that there were a few dead carpenter ants in the traps and that the nectar was slightly less that what I'd put in. Therefore it was proof that they were attracted and feeding on the nectar and I'm positive that this is was what caused the elimination of the ants this season. I've been trying to control them for years with Carpenter ant baits (granules, gels, sprays, ETC) and this is the one product that appears to have eliminated the several colonies in and around our cottage.Last week I bought 2 more kits. I'm placing the other kits further out around the woods in our property to protect our trees from carpenter ant damage as well. I had several trees removed due to C ant damage and that was expensive. These kits are extremely inexpensive insurance to protect my cottage and the trees on my lot. This is also way easier to use than the other control options which didn't work so well and it much more environmentally friendly.

Wow! My house is built on a slab with an extended cement area outside the slab area for sitting, barbecuing, use of fire pit, etc. There were huge swarms of ants in two areas where there were seams in the cement, about four feet apart. I placed a bait station in the ground closest to the worse swarm. Within a few hours the ants were gone. I couldn't believe my eyes. I will place more stations around the house.
