MAKTAR Qubii Pro USB-A Flash Drive, Auto Backup While Charging, MFi Certified Compatible with iPhone/iPad, Photo Storage/Stick with File Organizer APP

This is exactly what I needed! I was tired of trying to sort pictures and get them all on my computer and remembering to schedule time to do so. I also needed a backup of those copies in case something happened to the first. I had collected over 3,000 pictures on my phone from some vacations and the software that automatically pulls down pics off my phone was giving me grief because it couldn't handle the task. I don't like to delete any of my pics especially from travel as I sometimes find one I didn't know I had and print it on canvas for my walls. I had a USB device that I could plug in my phone using a program and choose what photos to download but it's size was limited and it often download duplicates which is annoying when you have so many pictures. This device solved all my problems. It knows where it last stopped and picks up there and doesn't create duplicates which is an abosolute MUST! I already had quality micro sd cards so I used my own and it was so easy! Now when I plug in my phone it just takes seconds after the initial first backup. I also used it to transfer large video files from my ipad to another device that I had taken with a GoPro and edited. It worked like a charm. I used the device to help my husband back up his files from his phone onto his own micro sd card. We did have one small issue with his, it kept hanging in one spot and not moving forward, file #774 to be exact. I checked the micro sd card to see what the last file it downloaded was and then went to his phone and found the next file which was a very long video that he didn't need or want anymore. We deleted it and voila, it continued. Not sure what we would have done if he wanted that video...maybe put it directly on a computer before deleting or air dropping it to his ipad before deleting off his phone. After that snafu, it worked great. I was puzzled because my backup had no problems at all but we solved his and went on our merry way. After reading troubleshooting, it did say if you have a corrupt file it may cause it problems. The convenience of plugging it in and knowing things back up is great and it will be a must have when I go on vacation again and take lots and lots of photos. In fact everyone in our house will have their micro-sd with them on vacation so we can all back up our photos right when we are on our extended vacations taking hundreds of pictures! Great product!

I have been trying and trying to find something to use as an external backup for all of my photos and videos on my phone. I'm sick of paying the monthly for the iCloud upgrade and knew there had to be something out there that could eliminate that cost for me. I am so pleased with this little thing. It is so easy to use, and my goodness it's fast. I put my micro sd card in it, plugged it in with an Apple lightning cord like the instructions say to do, and within 45 min it had gone through and uploaded over 5000 photos and videos. I can't recommend it enough!

The Qubii is very easy to use, it works as advertised, the reason why I am giving 4 stars is because it’s not possible to select what items to backed up, you have only two options is either, to backup all your folders( if you have created them ) or a complete backup of all your photos, but you cannot select what folders are transferred to the Qubii, I wish you could specifically select what photos or albums To be back up. I use a lot my mobile to take images or videos for specific projects that I am working on, the problem is that you are forced to remove your photographs from your mobile, because every time that you connect your mobile, the app search for new photos to back them up, but if you transferred the saved photos to a hard disk drive or to a computer to clean up the memory card, or if you insert a new one, whenever you connect the phone it backs everything up again!!!!, because for the app, all the photos are new, as they are not in the memory card anymore. The only way to go around is deleting them from your phone, in my case there are many photos of people or places that I love, that I don’t want to erase from my phone!! And the photos or projects that I need to transfer to my computer to work with them, I can’t back them up because the memory on my phone is larger than the memory card. so, the memory card gets full before the photos that I really need can be transferred.

This is a great product the first back up takes a while especially if your phone has a lot on it but it is quite convenient to plug your phone up at night for a charge and wake up the next morning with it completely backed up. I selected three stars for storage because once you receive the cube you have to purchase a micro SD card of sufficient size to complete your back up no storage comes with the cube.

The Qubii is great! It automatically backs up all new photos and videos every night when I charge my phone. I no longer have to worry about losing everything if something happens to my phone and I can free up phone memory for new photos, knowing I can easily access the old pictures. I honestly don’t think it could be any better.

UPDATE3/9/21The item stopped working. I can't plug it into a PC or an iPhone, it just doesn't get recognized. When I return to the page where I purchased it, the item had been pulled down which seems suspicious. I've only used it once before to backup photos and that was in Nov. 2020 when I first purchased it. Now it's not working, the listing is gone, and Amazon can't help. Beware!11/1/20Arrived on time and seems to work well. The user interface is a little clunky but works well enough to get by.

For some reason I don’t like iCloud. I wanted to backup my photos on computer, it was a terrible process ! Using this little magic product I did this from the first time, then gave it to me wife and my sone to backup their photos . Thank you for such a good product

Very easy set up and I love that my phone charged while it’s backing up my photos. I had gotten another back up device that was too hard to use and would only do one photo at a time. This does it all while I had a cup of coffee

Very easy to use. Installed the app on my iPhone and when I plugged the phone to charge, it backed up all of my photos. The backed up photos had the proper dates to when I took the pictures, which makes it easy to sort on my computer. Highly recommend!

Ich hatte schon länger nach einer einfachen Möglichkeit gesucht, unabhängig vom Computer, die Fotos vom iPhone zu sichern. Das war sogar der Grund, dass ich mir meinen ersten Raspi gekauft habe. In der Zeitschrift “ct” war ein Projekt beschrieben mit dem das möglich sein sollte. Ich habe es aber nach vielen vergeblichen Versuchen aufgegeben.Dann habe ich durch Zufall den Qubii Pro hier in Angebot gesehen. Bis auf diesen Farbton sah erst mal alles gut aus. Nach etwas Suchen im Web, gefiel mir Qubii immer besser.Gleich eine große SD Karte mit bestellt, und dann wenige Tage später den ersten Sicherungslauf gestartet. Wenn man mal davon absieht, das 17.000 Bilder zu sichern schon eine ganze Weile dauert, hat das problemlos funktioniert. Auch das Mobiltelefon meiner Frau habe ich direkt gesichert. Aber die hatte auch nicht deutlich weniger Bilder 🙈In der Doku steht das nich so klar verständlich, dass man quasi unbegrenzt viele Mobiltelefone sichern kann. Für jedes Telefon wird ein eigenes Verzeichnis auf der SD Karte angelegt. So kommen sich die Daten nicht in die Quere.Über die App hat man dann Zugriff auf die Bilddaten aller Mobiltelefone.Zu erwähnen ist vielleicht noch, das Qubii auch Kontakte sichern möchte - das kann man aber ablehnen. Mir war nicht klar, ob nicht diese Kontakte anders verwendet werden könnten.Was wirklich schlecht dokumentiert ist, sind die Unterschiede der verschiedenen Qubii Varianten. Das ist mit tatsächlich bis heute nicht komplett klar.Das Gerät ist in Verbindung mit der App wirklich extrem leicht zu bedienen. Einzige Voraussetzung ist, dass das genutzte USB Kabel nicht zu lang ist. Das ist mir bei einem weitern Sicherungsversuch passiert. Es bricht bei zu langen (2m) USB Kabeln ständig die Verbindung zum Qubii ab. Ein normales 60 cm Kabel geht aber super gut.
