I've had opportunity to use a lot of headlamps in the last few years. In 2010 my wife and I took a trip around the world, backpacking through 11 different countries, and besides a towel and a water bottle, having a good headlamp was the next most essential accessory. We lost a couple and bought a couple more, but what I love about this headlamp I show bright it is and how well it works.When I first put the batteries and turned it on, I nearly blinded myself, which has not been an issue with other headlamps. It doesn't just give a small window of light, it truly illuminates what's in front of you, which is fantastic for a late night hike.It's comfortable, easy and intuitive to change the batteries (and we've used some that were surprisingly complicated for that small task) and does what we need it to do. This is a very practical, versatile headlamp with great features. I like that you can adjust the angle of the light while wearing. I like the "high" and "low" beam option as well. I will be getting a lot of practical use out of this, I will be using for much more than just hiking or camping!

Awesome headlamp! I love how adjustable this lamp is. The strap fits a wide range of head sizes from infant (yes I tried it on my 2 mo old!) to my hubby's big ole head! What a cool product!! I just received it yesterday and honestly haven't used it for anything besides reading in bed last night while my husband slept, but it was just perfect for this! He has already said that he is going to use it when he has to work in the attic. I'm already planning on buying one for my brother, who rides his bike a lot and needs to have a headlamp for night riding.
