EasyGoProdcuts Sunflower Kernels – Medium Sun Flower Wild Bird Seed Chips 50 lb

The quality of these sunflower seed kernels is excellent. I usually buy fine seeds but the medium sized ones were devoured. No mess, no spillage.

This is a good price for sunflower chips medium which birds can easily eat and digest. Red and gold finches love it as well as other birds like Cardinals, Juncos, chickadee, and even Bluebirds.

Birds did not initially attack this food like regular black oil sunflower seeds. They appear to be adjusting after 2 weeks, but still not the volume of birds before the change.

I received really good quality sunflower seed, very clean, great size kernels.I used it in my 8 seed bird feeders . Every kind of songbird was loving that seed.We recently had a stretch of weather cold and wet for Georgia. From dawn to dusk I could glance at any of those feeders and not only would every perch and opening for seeds to be eaten be filled with birds but extra birds were sitting on the lids of the feeders and on the railings and branches close to any of the feeders waiting for their turn at the seed. From woodpeckers so big that it was hard for them to grip onto a perch to the tiniest little Wren or Finch they all loved the seed. For any that got spilled by the birds anytime there was a flock of the smaller birds that were cleaning up any of the little pieces on the ground. I had entire flocks of birds sitting outside windows all around my house so while I was working I could watch their cute antics and know they had enough food to stay warm in the very cold wet weather. And they went through all 50 pounds in 21 days it was that cold.

The media could not be loaded.  Really great deal on this hulled sunflower.It’s the perfect size for my birds - I’d call these mostly small chips - even though they’re marked medium. Sometimes my bags are marked medium but I get mostly large pieces and whole kernels, (which i really don’t want) I’ve bought over 20 fifty pound bags from various sellers here on Amazon and I’m always nervous ! You’re never sure what you’re going to receive, and I have received a couple of bad bags, and at $90 a bag plus being impossible to return…well, yeah, it can be nerve wracking.I almost always receive a different brand - this time I got Advanced Sunflower out of Huron South Dakota. It’s good! (And it arrived intact !)

I have bought this product many times since pandemic came. Heavy bag but product very good for price. This latest bag was dried out seeds seemed lifeless. this is shelled sunflowers which birds love but this batch not so much. my spoiled jays cardinals warblers kinda put up their noses…beaks at it. I had to mix it with fruit and nuts and then they ate it. I guess it end of sunflower season but these were stale and dry.I will buy elsewhere and wait till the next crop comes
