Deluxe Edition includes bonus DVD. In the history of heavy metal, not many bands can claim to be able to celebrate their breakthrough twice. Accept managed this four years ago after returning with their reunion record BLOOD OF THE NATIONS. Now BLIND RAGE, the latest installment in this amazing return is ready to write history once more. The band's creative streak has delivered a thunderstorm of riffs. Besides the 'red-Accept-line', as the band likes to call it, the only goal was to 'remain interesting.' Another factor that has turned into an Accept trademark is the voice of singer Mark Tornillo. With the course of the three albums, he has grown into his role as front man of these 'teutonic terrors.'

ACCEPT HAS RISEN TO THE TOP
Up until this point I was just a casual ACCEPT fan. I owned the Balls to the Wall/Restless and Wild CD. I heard about their Blood of the Nations comeback album with a new singer and was intrigued by all the high praise it was getting. However, it was not until STALINGRAD was released that I decided to actually buy the album and give it a shot. It quickly became a personal favorite and I realized I needed to start taking the new ACCEPT more seriously.Unlike the brilliant 1+2 punch of Hung, Drawn and Quartered & Stalingrad, this album gets off to a rather average start. Stampede does not quite live up to the killer cover art, and is nowhere near furious as it should be. Dying Breed is a fun, but slightly generic metal homage. I've already heard several other songs from other bands that tie together lyrical phrases from Judas Priest etc. It was cool to hear a Saxon reference though...very underrated band. Anyway, the rest of the album is amazing. 'From the Ashes We Rise' is an uplifting fist pumping anthem and '200 Years' paints a vivid picture of a world without humans. 'Final Journey' is the perfect closer to this album and is my favorite final song on any of the new ACCEPT albums. An area where Accept is surprisingly strong is dealing with current events of global warming, extinction, mass shootings, and other downfalls of humanity. They never get annoyingly political like some of Megadeth or Slayer songs, although 'Wanna Be Free' is maybe a little too preachy. Their heart was in the right place writing it and the guitar riffing is incredibly catchy so I can't hate the song too much!Of the 4 new albums Blind Rage might be the overall best. It's a close call between this one and Stalingrad. Honestly, I have been listening to ACCEPT probably 90% of the time for the last several months. I'm totally hooked! Out of all the 80's metal heroes ACCEPT is going the strongest now.

Third Metal Masterpiece in a Row
Yep, they've done it a 3rd time in a row. Not only have they delivered another strong collection of metal anthems, this time they've included a DVD. And this is not your typical promotional DVD with a few videos and a 20 minute "making of" feature. Included here is the full 23 song set from the live performance in Chile last year. It is a high quality show with tons of energy and a great representation of songs from the past 2 releases as well as the early releases. The new songs hold up well to repeated play and stylistically fall in line with the last 2 studio releases. "Dying Breed" is a highlight with its clever lyrical tribute to all of the great metal bands from the early days. The only song that could have been deleted would be "Bloodbath Mastermind" which is a bit too long and too repetitive. That song aside, the rest of this album smokes. Accept have given the fans a good run with this newest incarnation (circa 2010-present) and by the looks and sounds on the live DVD they show no signs of stopping anytime soon. Definitely on my top 10 list this year.

ACCEPT 'BLIND RAGE' 2014 Accept's 3rd release with new guy Mark Tornillo on vocals since they released Blood of the Nations, but Mr. Tornillo is a seasoned Veteran with his own jersey band TT Quick and doesn't sound like the new guy at all in fact he's been delivering the goods since Blood of the nations, and you would think that Accept would have had all those years since Udo left the band to write a killer album chock full of killer riffs but it hasn't stopped Stalingrad was also amazing as is 'Blind Rage' 2014 release it starts off with killer songs and the ever amazing Wolf Hoffman's playing is awe inspiring he hasn't lost a step the whole band just brings metal anthems to life bulldozing their way through the entire release if you love TRUE HEAVY METAL than you are one of us ( the last of a dying breed) Who Love Accept do yourself a favor and Buy it on amazon the last 3 releases are phenomenal an exercise to brutalize our minds with classic Accept vocals Stunning Guitar riffs and thunderous Metal that will have you singing and cheering!

Vinyl's sound is quite good, the CD is far from it.
Once again they deliver another album of great classic style metal. This one completes a nice trio w/ Tornillo. Is he enough to make one say Udo who? As a longtime fan, I'll say not quite, but I'll take the last 3 with him over the last 3 w/Udo.Once again, the vinyl beats the CD in terms of a decent dynamic mix. The CD is pretty unlisteneable, but the vinyl's dynamics allow the music to breath & give the crankabilty factor that makes you wanna crank that volume up. For those who know what they mean, the CD rates: DR06, while the vinyl is DR12. That's quite a difference. It's pretty sad that I'll have to needledrop this & then make a CD myself to have one that sounds decent. The vinyl is nice & quiet w/nice poly lined inner sleeves. The gatefold cover is a bit thin though.

Good old rock n roll
Good old rock n roll. After Stalingrad and Blood of the Nations, the boys (not really boys at this point in time ha ha) fronted by a New Jersey native deliver the goods and it does not disappoint. There are enough and more of fast thrashy barnstormers (Stampede, Dying Breed, Dark side of my heart) but like all great heavy metal albums, the actual magic happens when the pace slows down a few gears (Fall of the empire, Wanna be free, The Curse-this one is my favourite off this album at this point). But then again, that specific point is something about which metalheads endlessly argue about. Everything is top quality, right from the vocals and instrumentation to the production work. Add an ultra cool cover and we have a near perfect metal masterpiece. Do not miss this one.....

Get it!
Don't think for an instant that Mark Tornillo is just and Udo clone. Far from it. Mark has added an extra dimension to Accept that has shown through on all of their post-Udo albums. Andy Sneap has the pristine product in there too. Great songwriting and obviously playing. The band still write and sound far better than many of the modern "heavy metal/hard rock" bands today. Accept identity is all over this album.

Accept - Blind Rage
Blind Rage is the 14th full-length studio album by the legendary German Heavy Metal band Accept, and the 3rd since their triumphant reformation with the new Mark Tornillio-fronted line up. It was released on Nuclear Blast Records in 2014 and was masterfully produced (as with their previous two records) by veteran British producer Andy Sneap.Right off the bat, let me just say that I absolutely love this record and would highly recommend that any fan of the bands previous two records buy it without hesitation. Moreover any fan of the band or even just the genre should consider buying it. On my initial listen, it sent giddy shivers up my spine and had me thinking of phrases like “album of the year” and “career highlight” straight away, and even now when the early excitement has been tempered and attempts have been made to be rational and objective, this still feels like a very strong and important record on every single listen. It is at once both an immediate hit and a massive grower. The style on the album is more-or-less the same style of modernized pure Heavy Metal from the last two albums; teetering smoothly on brink of early Power Metal and Hard Rock, topped off with the cherry of Mark Tornillo’s gravely Udo Dirkschneider-meets-Lemmy Kilmister (by way of Brian Johnson) vocal style. If you like pounding double-kick drums and guitar solos you want to sing along to, this is the sort of stuff for you. There are big riffs and chant-along backing vocals all over the place designed to make everything feel memorable and make you want to pump your fists in the air. There are tracks here that could neatly slot into either of their previous two albums without looking out of place at all, and so in many ways, the album is partly a continuation of what the reunion line-up has been doing so far.In other places however, the album has its own identity and overall it isn’t just a carbon copy of either Blood Of The Nations or the superb Stalingrad. Blind Rage diversifies into softer, more melodic and anthemic directions as well. Tracks like “Wanna Be Free” and “Dark Side Of My Heart” almost harken back to the Metal Heart spirit in a way. This makes sense as the band mentioned the classic Accept sound a lot in interviews at the time of this album’s promotion and the climax of the album-closer “Final Journey” sonically references the track “Metal Heart” itself.Highlights include “Dying Breed” – a mid-paced number which lyrically pays tribute to other legendary bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Saxon etc. – as well as the catchy single “Stampede” (a real grower indeed) and the speedier “Bloodbath Mastermind.” That being said this is an absolutely rock-solid album with no filler or weak moments at all.Overall, Blind Rage is an absolutely stunning record. There are so many memorable moments and catchy riffs on here that it almost doesn’t hit you right away just how very well-written and impressive it is. The performances are great, the production is immaculate and I have nothing but praise for the songs themselves. I highly recommend picking yourself up a copy if you are in any way interested.****The edition I bought comes in a fat digipak contained within a slipcase. It is packaged with the Live In Chili 2013 concert on Blu Ray.The tracklisting is as follows:Intro/Hung Drawn And Quartered/Hellfire/Restless And Wild/Losers And Winners/Stalingrad/Breaker/Bucket Full Of Hate/Monsterman/Shadow Soldiers/Amamos La Vida/Guitar Solo/Neon Nights/Bulletproof/Aiming High/Princess Of The Dawn/Up To The Limit/No Shelter/Pandemic/Fast As A Shark/Metal Heart/Teutonic Terror/Balls To The WallHere are the Blu Ray specs:Resolution 1080p, Sound PCM Stereo, Region All, Running Time 121mins.This is excellent value for money as it isn’t the usual low–quality bonus disc; the performance is great, it sounds pretty decent, the editing is fairly tasteful and in all honesty it almost feels like a proper release that could stand up as its own product if it had more sound options and a few extras. Very occasionally it looks overdubbed or there’ll be a silly editing choice, but it is for the most part well-made. It is great to see the reunion line-up absolutely tearing it up live and the mix of newer material with the usual concert-favourites makes it feel vital and exciting. If the price difference isn’t too much I’d definitely recommend getting this version.****

A Real Grower. Superb Record.
What a storming album. Really. And like all the best records it didn't grab me immediately. But it grew and grew with each listen. It's not a radical departure from the previous two albums at all and initially I thought it not as good - until the earworm that is 'Wanna Be Free,' ended up on a constant mental loop. After that I ended up listening through this a number of times until I got to the point where I figured that it really is one of the best that Accept have done no matter what the era.Production values and recording are high. It's astonishing just how good compared to the older records it is.The songs are thoughtful, often powerful and some are definitely ones you want to bang your head along too. The chorus of Wanna Be Free is so catchy that you almost find yourself singing along to it - despite the serious subject matter. Overall this is a proper old school metal record created by people who understand it at their very core - especially as they were in early on - but done with all the modern recording methods. A truly brilliant effort that stands proud with the best of Accept.

I am Cursed!!!
I love Accept.. but i love Accept more than any other band after 2010! With Mark Tornillo, they created 3 masterpieces and i think that Blind Rage is simply the highest point! If u love any type of rock, any genre of metal; buy this album. And never think that it's just an old-school metal stuff; it has all type of technical (and maybe magical) additions of today's metal with soul n' passion. For sure the reason is the real master Wolf Hoffmann (who is Accept). "The Curse" can be labelled as the best piece ever created by Accept, not a joke. But this album is a total package, all songs are killer hits; Stampede, From The Ashes We Rise, Dying Breed, 200 Years and all others.. U r gonna be cursed after listenin' this album.. and u can never ever gonna listen cheap music again...Pros:- Wolf Hoffmann (best guitarist ever)- The Curse (best song ever)- Dozens of hits- Box set has great additionsCons:- U r gonna be cursed by Wolf's magicI bought the box set version of this album from Rarewaves by Amazon (uk).5/5 - 10/10

This album is incredible. I think it's their best yet since they reformed. It's metal heart/Russian roulette accept with touches of balls and restless and its also something completely new. On first listen the tunes were in my head and wolf Hoffman's guitar playing is fantastic as always. the whole band are outstanding. I can't stop listening to itCan't not mention the DVD, which is a live concert from the last tour. This too, is amazing. Showing how good accept are live, with a cracking setlist
