Can i put these bottles in the oven to sterilise them or must they be sterilised in boiling water? I am thinking about the plastic in the cap.

The aperture is 2cm, 2.5 cm across in all.

Would these work well for storing double cream in the fridge?

I use mine for storing salad dressing - and see no reason why it wouldn't work for cream. Possibly the only problem would be if the cream was very thick, in which case you might have trouble getting it all out!
