New Street Art

This is s beautifully produced book, crammed with top quality colour photographs of contemporary street art - paintings, stencils, paste ups and also sculptures. Street art by its very nature comes and goes, every piece is unique and had to be appreciated in the context of its surroundings and is ultimately destroyed by the weather or is replaced by a new piece. Considering this, my only criticism of the nook is that while the artists are named, the photographs are not labelled with locations or dates. A great shame, and make this book 'nice' rather than a proper documentation of the London street art scene.

A reprint of an out of print edition. The reprint is even more beautiful than the original. Good coverage of new, less known street artists that deserve wider acclaim. I like the fact that there is coverage of several sculptors.
