Music for Motivation joyously invites action. Highly organized compositions of Mozart, Handel, and friends focus minds and sharpen thinking. Many selections are simplified to give the mind room to reflect and reorganize. Violins sing, woodwinds incite, and trumpets sound the clarion call: Get the job done and have fun! motivation is ideal for peak performance, vitality, task completion, organizing, taking action, and productivity. 120-140 beats per minute.

Help for depression
I was having a very bad day today and was feeling even more depressed than usual. The sensation was one of complete immobilization - as though I could not do anything at all, except to cry intermittently. In the afternoon I decided I would just go back to bed and try to sleep. Remembering the three Arcangelos CD's I had purchased a couple of weeks previously, I thought I would try listening to them. The first one I started to play was "Music to De-Stress". This was not a good choice at that moment; the slow music seemed mournful and lugubrious to me. I switched to the "Music for Motivation" CD, although it seemed ironic to play motivational music to try and go to sleep. Now, I am not a classical music buff so the only way I can describe the music is what it brought to my mind's eye: a lovely spring meadow with bright green grass, colorful flowers, white butterflies, and an occasional baby bunny rabbit. And strangely enough, I could not think of or conceive any sad or gloomy thoughts while this music was playing! I drifted off to sleep before the tape ended, and when I woke up in the evening I felt somewhat better. I was even able to do a couple of things, and plan a little for the following day. Tonight, I intend to again fall asleep listening to "Music for Motivation". I am not trying to say that this would help others with their depression; I am just sharing my own subjective experience with this CD. I wish I could say that after listening to this music I cleaned my entire house top to bottom, organized all of my tax papers and cooked a magnificent dinner, but you know what? The fact that this music made me feel even a little bit better is worth five stars to me, any day!

Definately recommend this and the rest of the collection as well
I purchased this CD and actually the others that go along with it due to having adult ADHD and severe anxiety and panic attack disorder. I was very suprised at how just having this music playing low in a room where I am studying or working helps to keep me focused and as odd as it is it actually has helped out with my panic and anxiety attacks that I have. It has literally helped me enough so that I don't need to take medication to stop an attack that all of sudden happens out of no where. I would definately recommend it to anyone who has any type of issues like these just because for me I hated to feel like I would need to take a pill to calm me down from something that I didn't even know was causing it but yet would almost make me pass out. The music is literally set up with specific beats and in an order that I would never have thought would be so helpful in getting me to a point of being able to calm down as quickly as it does, it works faster than having to take a pill for a panic attack. So I'm definately glad that I found these and now also have an absolute respect that I never even thought of before for classical music. For anyone who doesn't listen to classical music or has never had an interest in it I would recommend these CD's just hear or listen to one of the songs it amazes me how the music can change a mood or feeling so quickly and in a good way.

If I had it to do over again I would not purchase
For me I wouldn't call some of the music motivating....I was expecting more upbeat music....but I see for others it seems to work. Just depends on your taste in music.Love all of the pieces though..just not for motivation.....for me.

Beyond Motivation Toward Diversity Sublime
I became interested in building a diverse collection of chamber music to play one complete disc three or four times a week while I experiment with acrylic paints alone in my noise-dampened studio. I discovered the arcangelos chamber ensemble series of discs aimed to yield specific target results for its listeners. By the time I had listened to three discs, I realized that any collection of these disks must represent impressive diversity because users would not like discs aimed at different specific targets to sound the same. I now have eight discs in the series and am delighted with the quality, selection and diversity of the overall set. I listen to them in rotation and think eight disks is about the right number for my purpose. By the way, the arcangelos chamber ensemble is superb.

Motivation CD
Good stuff. Seems to be working.I don't know if the creator ABT uses the same technology as used by similar CDs from The Relaxation Company. The latter apparently embeds low frequency (low Hz) tones that cause proven sympathetic responses in various relevant parts of the human brain. Good selections, not annoying.

Motivated
I really enjoy all the ABT music therapy disks. The music is selected based on the number of beats per minute and our bodies fall into sync with that beat. Ideally this will result in Motivation (your own motivation). I put this on while working and don't really realize that the music is on, so I'm not really listening to it. But when I play the music, I seem to stay on-task better and seem to be motivated to complete the project. I have many of the ABT disks and love them all. The Relaxation disk is wonderful to help fall asleep.

Great music!
I have now purchased the entire set of The Arcangelos Chamber Ensemble music and really enjoy it. Each CD had its own uniqueness. It is excellent music to work to- all of it. Or just as background music while I'm puttering around the housedoing laundry. Whatever. It is very uplifting music. Clears the mind.
