Very good unmanaged switch for PoE devices
So far this switch is performing very well with my Class 2 PoE video cameras. This switch works well in my application since I have a simple home-based system and don't need the complications of a managed switch. It's very simple to setup - just plug it in. Another nice feature is that it doesn't have a fan so it is totally quiet - and I also like the ability to switch PoE power on to only the ports that need it.

Look elsewhere.
Purchased this unit to power 4 IP cameras for our security system. Ordered this late August 2016, installed it late September 2016, started having problems with cameras powering up April 2017, and the unit finally died May 5th. Typical Taiwanese junk. Furthermore, while the part number is the same, the item looks completely different from the description. Amazon directs you to contact the manufacturer for warranty claims.

This is fine if your cameras use these pinouts
This Injector, while claiming to be IEEE 802.3af complaint, is not certified to be. Power output is on the unused data pins of 4&5 and 7&8. This is fine if your cameras use these pinouts. My cameras share data & power on pins 1,2,3, & 6 so this injector would not work to power the cameras. IP POE cameras which are 802.3af are either Type A or B. When selecting a POE injector be sure to determine which pins your cameras use for power. Another issue is some installers doing cable runs do not 'Punch Down' (or connect) the twisted pairs to the unused data pins (4,5,7,8) thereby making these pins unusable for POE. Pre-made cables from a retailer have all pins connected. POE injector manufactures should include in their product descriptions the POE pin-out.

Good but had to return
Returned this item because it was not allowed on my corporate network. Nothing wrong with the device. Seemed to work great.

Perfect
This thing works flawlessly. Great deal for a POE switch. I'm using this to connect my 8 camera security system. I have one ethernet cable connecting this switch to my router, and then I have a DVR and a desktop computer plugged into the switch along with the 8 cameras. (and my samsung TV and Direct TV genie) I'm running Blue Iris on the desktop computer and use it for the great app and flexibility that it provides, but still have the cameras feed into my DVR as well, so that i'm getting top notch recording.

Good for IP cameras
I used this as a means to relocate the NVR from the original location where the 16 cameras were located. It worked fine and provides enough power. I didn't like the dip switch feature and wished it would auto detect but in hindsight it works for cost savings and provides a means of physical configuration verification. It has been installed for 6 months and still working fine.

Piece of trash. Others have reported a short life too.
Bought it 19 months ago, put it into service 6 months ago. This morning all my devices wen offline and when I looked at the switch, the LEDs were off and it had that characteristic electrical burnout smell. Piece of trash.

Will not power 16 ip cameras!
I just purchased this switch to power 14 ip cameras. I am not saying it is a bad switch, what I am saying is it will only output 120 watts max. So if each camera uses 15 watts then you get about 8-9 cameras max. Check your math! Do not think this will power 16 cameras at once. Again, not saying it is a bad switch but just be advised of its limitations regarding power.
