I spend a fair amount of time traveling for work and sometimes find myself in locations where the local Wi-Fi is either terribly slow or completely nonexistent. I wanted a way to get cellular connectivity directly on my older work laptop without always having to drain my phone's battery by using it as a mobile hotspot. Installing this internal cellular module was pretty simple once I got the bottom panel off my machine. I just popped it into the empty slot, connected the existing antenna leads, and booted up. It recognized my SIM card right away, and within minutes I had a reliable cellular connection. The signal strength has been surprisingly good, and the download speeds are more than adequate for checking emails, joining voice calls, and doing general web research on the go. It seamlessly integrates with Windows, so connecting and disconnecting is a breeze. It has genuinely made working remotely from random coffee shops and airport terminals significantly less frustrating and much more productive.

I thought I had a problem somewhere else, but it turns out, this device gets stuck in a boot loop when you use a T-Mobile SIM. I was able to get it to work with one of my AT&T sims. What's the deal, there? Can't use it and now I've missed the return window. Ugh.

Having the same problem that Ryan above did - the device shows up if I don't have a SIM inserted, but as soon as I insert a SIM, the device goes into a constant reboot loop.
