LG G2 Screen Protector, Crystal Armor 0.33mm Tempered Glass Crystal Clear | Slim | Anti Finger Print | Scratch Proof and Light weight Screen Protector for LG G2

I purchased this screen protector as a replacement for some  Tech Armor LG G3 Anti-Glare/Anti-Fingerprint (Matte) Screen Protectors [3-Pack] Lifetime Warranty  and I would probably go back to the Tech Armor for my next purchase. The Crystal Armor protector was VERY easy to apply, and it is amazingly clear, but I have not been impressed by the durability. After only a few days, there was a chip on one side of the screen protector and within a week or so there was a large scratch across the front. It could be bad timing, but I am usually pretty gentle on my devices and I can typically get at least a few months out of other screen protectors before replacing them.Hopefully I can milk this one until I get a new phone in a couple months, and I may give Crystal Armor one more try since I do like how easy they are to apply and how clear they are, but overall I'm not 100% on board.

Nice packaging but unfortunately it went downhill from there. I have now installed 7 tempered glass screen protectors on different phones (iPhone 4s, 5c, iPhone 6, 2 times, and my LGG2 3 times) using the hinge method, which allows for decent placement the first time and eliminates the need to pull up and reposition. In my experience, if you avoid any repositioning and any dust, you can have a flawless first time lay down with good adhesion with no bubbles or popped up edges. This product fit well and went on great right up until the silicone adhesion magic worked out from the middle. Adhesion never reached the edges, on all four sides! In my opinion the silicone coating used as adhesion wasn't fully covering the surface. On all four sides about 2-3mm from the edge the adhesion stopped and the seperation of the protector and the screen is clearly visible. Especially bad on the top edge by the cutout and along the right side middle, about 6mm and 9mm respectively. The LGG2 protectors are marginally undersized to allow for a flat placement on a supposed curved edge screen (I cant see the curve) and it is possible to have flat edges as my last two protectors did so. The size of this protector is the same size as the cracked one it is replacing so it appears to be an adhisive issue and not a size issue. I believe my particular product was defective as reviews seemed to be positive from folks already familiar with glass tempered protectors and proper installation of such.

Pros: Tempered glass is the BEST type of screen protector. It is clear, tracks little fingerprints, and looks exactly like the screen itself.Cons: Here is the BIGGEST ISSUE: The LG G2 has rounded corners, which means tempered glass won't fit around the rounded edges. The manufacturer should have known this and made the cut a bit smaller, so that it doesn't actually sit over the rounded edges, with this weird bubble effect on the outsides. Another reviewer has show pics of this, so I won't go over it. This is helped "somewhat" by using a case, but for those of us who do not use a case, it is a real put-down for looks.

I am now on my second one of these in as many months. The problem is that they almost immediately get cracks running through them which impair your ability to see the screen. These cracks were not caused by impacts that would have otherwise cracked my screen - which I wouldn't mind as that would be saving my phone.In fact, I'm not sure why these crack so easily but when I take this one off I will not be buying a 3rd.

This is my first tempered glass screen protector. Up until this point I have use the flexible plastic protectors with all of my previous devices. I was a bit curious about how easy / difficult application would be. I was utterly baffled at how easy it was. I followed the instructions and thoroughly cleaned my screen (probably much better than necessary). Peeled off the layer. Then I lined it up as best I could and laid it down. It looked okay, but I thought it could use some adjustment. I thought I'd have to pick it up and try again. To my surprise I was able to use my fingernail to adjust it ever so slightly in the places I wanted with ease. Once I had it where I wanted I simply pressed down on the protector at the bottom and watched as it applied itself to the rest of the screen. Just to be sure I ran my thumb along the entirety of the protector, but I don't think that was necessary.I can't speak for the longevity of the product as I just applied it a few hours ago. It does have a nice smooth feel however and felt pretty sturdy. If anything changes I will update my review.On a separate note, for those wondering if it works with an otterbox commuter series case. It does so, very well.

This screen protector is not tempered glass. It's more like a thicker piece of plastic. I have had tempered glass before and this one is not glass by any means. I read other reviews about other tempered glass screen protectors not sticking around the edges, and decided not to get those and decided to try this one. Well the same problem exist with this screen protector as well, it does not stick around the edges, infact it doesn't fit the whole screen. Looks terrible and doesn't even blend in with the screen, sticks out like a sore thumb. I am going back to a regular screen protector, and sending this one back.
