I purchased this cooler for a 2600 mile roadtrip to Yellowstone National Park. Didn’t want to have to deal with ice. It was perfect. Plugged into my rear 12v port of my suv. App helped me monitor temp. Used in both fridge/freezer mode and all fridge mode ( by removing divider). Kept all food as it should either nice and cold or frozen on freezer side. Easy to move around. Used both 12v and 110 and both worked well. Perfect size. I won’t roadtrip without it. Compressor has some noise when it kicks on but this isn’t loud and is to be expected. Having wheels was helpful for moving cooler when fully loaded.

Very nice unit, excellent value--least expensive dual use unit out there, but very full-featured, including the Bluetooth connection. The app doesn't give you any more controls, but it is a convenience. Keeps temps set as on both sides consistently & accurately. It stayed on all night in my van without running down my 2 batteries (total energy about 1,700 amp-hours). I have it in my camper van, just the right size to go between my front captain's chairs. Works equally well on 12v DC or 120c AC. It's solid, and I wouldn't want to carry it filled, though there are wheels on two corners and an extensible handle for pulling it. I had some question about reliability over the long run given other reviews, so bought it with the offered warranty extension. Hope not to need that, but could simply replace it if it fails over 30 days and less than 2 years from purchase this way. Still a bargain including that.

I’ve had this cooler for five years now and used it on at least 20 camping trips, as well as some other events to add additional cooling, and it hasn’t failed me yet. Over the years I’ve learned how to work with what some people might consider shortcomings of the fridge, but it depends on how you plan to use it. I have it plugged into a 1500Wh battery and get about 2.5 days without plugging in my solar panel. It runs about 40 watts when it kicks on to cool down. There is a temp swing of about 7 degrees, I set it to 39 and it will cool down to 34 and then kick back on when the temp gets to 41degrees, which personally isn’t a problem for me. The food keeps cold and that’s all I’m looking for in a portable fridge. I haven’t tried using the freeze function on it so I cannot comment on that. One thing to consider, the coldest part of the fridge is at the bottom, if I’m taking drinks or food out and putting more in to replenish, leaving those items at the top of the fridge is chill, but to really get things mouth-watering cold you need to rotate the cans and put the new additions at the bottom. This isn’t a big deal because there’s no melted ice to sift through, but it is something to think about. Using the fridge when we’ve had parties, or taking it to a rental cabin for extra cold space; it isn’t the ideal choice because it does take time to cool things down if you aren’t always keeping track of what’s been rotated to the bottom recently. If you are out camping or serving two people where you aren’t going into the fridge as often, you won’t even notice. There is an IOS app so I can connect to it via bluetooth located in the bed of the truck while I’m in the cab, to double check the temps. I say that because like I mentioned earlier about the temp swings. I’ve never wanted to hit freezing and end up with bursted beer cans. It’s not something that you check often, but does help with peace of mind without having to stop traveling. Overall, I’m happy with this fridge and haven’t considered replacing it anytime soon. It’s pretty amazing what it can accomplish for 1/3rd the price of other competitors. Those other fridges might cool faster and have less temp swings, but to me this one is worth the price. I never write reviews but after this last four day trip I was thinking about how well this has worked for me, considering things used in the elements like to break all the time, yet it’s never crossed my mind that this fridge would fail on me while out away from civilization.

I ordered this I’m March 2020 and put it into use on my truck about April 2nd. It worked great until a few days ago when I started getting an F4 fault code. I followed directions to power off for 30 minutes then restart. That last about 5 minutes and then the compressor started thumping and I got an F3 fault code. Again direction are to shut down for 30 minutes. I removed everything and shut it down for 24 hours. I’ve tried several times to restart but all I get is F3 fault code. I expected to get at least a couple years use out of it instead I got 6 months

I purchased this item in preparation for my first dry camping trip. I planned to keep it powered with the Jackery 240 solar generator, also purchased on Amazon. I have a dorm-size refrigerator in my camper that I cannot run with my solar as my battery bank is too small. I set the refrigerator as a refrigerator on both sides since I did not plan to be a way long enough to need to freeze food but wanted to maintain the flexibility to be able to do so in the future. My budget could not afford a more well-known one such as a Dometic. I plugged it into the house current and set it at 33 degrees Fahrenheit the night before and found that it cooled two bottles of water quickly. I kept it plugged into the car 12 volt while traveling to my destination. The two bins, separated by a removable divider, were roomy enough to accommodate all my food for the few days that I was away. It kept my food very cold during my trip. I did find that the right side that can be set as a freezer tended to make the food on the bottom of that side slightly icy, but not enough that it was a nuisance. It could be that I had the temperature too low, so I’ll have to experiment next time. It took me a while to get used to the compressor coming on and going off in my small camper, as I was not used to any noise. I didn't find it bothersome though. It weighs in at 30 pounds empty which is not extremely heavy. The two wheels and folding handle made moving this camper much easier. The internal light is also a great feature. I left it running for about two weeks after I returned just to make sure that it kept working. No problems to report. This is my first purchase of this kind, and while I have no other point of reference in terms of other similar products, I am extremely happy with it. It’s just the right size for me.

The size and weight are really good. The handles are not overly strong or durable as one already came off but was easy to snap back into place. Just have to be careful with them. Temperature control is also mediocre. Setting the refrigerator for 38, I’ve seen the temperature swing from 30-42. The lid is also a mediocre performer. First, it’s black so it absorbs a lot of solar heat - not a good design. Second, the lid is difficult to open as it snaps over a lip on the body of the refrigerator so you have to really pull with your fingertips to get it to pop open.

Have had mine for ~4 weeks now, have been on 2 camping trips with it. The 5 stars is purely based on bang for the buck. In a head to head with a danfoss compressor or similar level system it would probably be a solid 3-4. Not sure if another clone has popped out or not yet but this is the smallest dual zone I found. I was not particularly needing the dual zone, but the option to have it in this size is pretty awesome for a smaller setup where you can't fit/don't need a 60L+ unit. The power draw to maintain a freezer section is high compared to fridge only. Power draw seems to max around 60 watts. Duty cycle once temp is established is maybe 20% run time for the compressor (higher if maintaining freezer zone). ECO draws a bit less and duty cycle is lower. Be careful how often you open it when in ECO if you want to maintain consistently good temps. In practical terms... I have a 500 watt hour power unit and it will run the unit for less than a day. Good for overnight with the battery dedicated to running the unit but not for multiple days unless you have a way to charge it. In fridge mode however... looks like it can do 3-5 days depending on how it is loaded, how often you are opening things etc... and that is in an Alabama summer environment. If you want to run it off your car battery it does have a battery management feature which you can set high medium or low basically meaning it will shut off a different voltage levels as the battery drains. I would only rely on it if you are with others and have jumper cables in case it drains your batteries. If boondocking alone I recommend a completely independent battery for running the fridge. Something that is not very clear is that the center divider comes out so that you are left with a single zone system. The controls recognize if the separator is installed or not which is pretty nice. The baskets are designed to have the center divider in place so as a single zone you will need to come up with another way to manage storage or have to deal with them rattling around as you drive. My unit came with unadvertised blue tooth capability allowing you to keep an eye on temps, and change any settings from an app available both on the apple app store and google play store. Seem sit is something of a Russian roulette situation on whether or not you get a unit with this capability. There also appears to be an LG compressor that some ship with that is pretty quite and a bit more efficient. Mine does not have it. Noise level is.... bearable. But in max power mode the compressor cycles can be pretty obnoxious before it settles down a bit. ECO mode is a bit better but still not exactly great. I originally thought I would put this unit in the screen room of our tent so I could share the battery I run it with... I now only keep it in the car overnight due to the noise. It isn't so much the noise itself is all that bad, the problem is it is kind of random and not consistent so it would be likely to difficult to fall asleep if it were nearby. Lastly... couple minor details. The measurement for width does NOT include the wheels. However it is pretty easy to take them off if need be. It is about an inch wider that listed with them on. My instructions were incorrect about which unit had to be the freezer in mixed mode. The freezer side is the L shaped section over the compressor. The controls on mine will not let me set the wrong side low and if you increase temps on the L shaped section above the setting for the fridge section they will both change setting values.

We love this cooler. We do long road trips frequently and it's so nice not to have to buy ice, empty when ice melts, and fill up with ice again. We have used this several times for long trips and it's not so big that it takes up a lot of room in the back of our SUV. And it's great if you have medicines that need to be kept cold. It's also pretty cool that it can be a fridge or a freezer - although we haven't used the freezer part yet. We are very happy with this product.

We needed to transport frozen meat across the country. This was perfect for what we needed!
