My wife and I were headed for a week long trip where I knew we would be doing a lot of walking. I wanted something practical but not too showy or to casual, I thought these fit the bill. I was a little worried ordering them so close to our trip where I wouldn't be able to break them in, but that wasn't an issue. Wore these through TSA and was not stopped, wore them all week outside and inside walking and my feet felt great, probably the best show I own now, in regard to foot support and comfort. I would buy these again.

I've been wearing these boots for over 10 years, probably closer to 15. I've owned two pairs, and the most recent has lasted for no less than five years. They are reasonably water resistant, and are much more comfortable than my Dr Martens or Solovairs. I came back to Amazon to buy a new pair after the sole started to disintegrate, and the biggest problem that I faced was finding the exact style. After ordering a new pair, I started reading the bad reviews. In response, I must say that the only reasonable weakness that these boots have are in the man-made upper ankle area. They will start to wear away and discolor in this area, but only well after a period of a couple of years. Unless you wear them with shorts, nobody will notice this. The leather and rubber parts of these boots are very, very hardy. The part that wears away is made of a dyed cloth. I challenge anyone giving a negative review of these boots to wear a pair of leather sneakers on a daily basis for a similar length of time, and see which falls apart first. For a pair of boots that I wear at least five days a week, I couldn't expect more from them.

This is probably my 4th or 5th pair of these boots. I beat the crap out of them and they take it in strides! Comfortable, durable and stylish.

These are the Absolute Perfect work boots due to slip resistance and not heavy. They are true to size and very comfortable. Love the style because of the padding around the top and they don't go to calf of leg and irritate the leg. So happy to replace a pair that has lasted my husband years. These boots are made to last compaired to other brands that he has tried. The store doesn't carry them anymore so I will definitely be ordering more.

I read the reviews and many people suggested to order this boot a half size larger. I took their advice and was glad I did. I typically wear a 10 regular so I ordered and 10 1/2 regular. The boots don't fit perfectly but they are close and I can accept a boot that is just a little big. Not to big for me to make a difference. The quality of the boot is very good. I wear these as an everyday boot to do all kinds of work at home and away. Great grip, sturdy insole, tough exterior and they look good. The only compliant is that I wish they would be about an inch higher at the ankle but that isn't that important. I've had the boots about a week and put them through my usual test and they passed after the first day. If the boot continues to please me they will most likely become my goto boot. I had been wearing boots made by Rockport which are comfortable and very good boots. But these boots are stiffer and offer more protection for my feet, are comfortable enough for everyday wear and look even better.

Ich habe mir diese Stiefel gekauft, weil ich etwas Robustes und Bequemes für den Winter gesucht habe. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit meinem Kauf, die Stiefel sind aus hochwertigem Leder gefertigt, wasserdicht (4std. Schneeschippen und nicht ein Tropfen ging durch) und haben eine gute Passform. Die Memory Foam-Innensohle ist super bequem und die Gummisohle bietet einen Top Grip auf rutschigen Untergründen. Die Stiefel sind gut verarbeitet und sehen hochwertig aus. Auch wenn die Stiefel in der Kategorie Arbeitsstiefel zu finden sind sollte darauf hingewiesen werden, dass sie keine Stahlkappe oder sonstigen Schutz bieten! Die Gummisohle ist zwar ziemlich dick, aber ich bezweifle, dass sie durchtrittsicher ist. Wer bequeme Winterstiefel sucht wird hier fündig.

First gripe! The selection of colours for this range of boots was quite large; These were described as 'Dark Brown', but in the picture shown, they looked more like a dark orange...and These were the ones that took my fancy!. What a pleasant surprise, when I opened the box, to find they were exactly the colour as shown. Personally I would have described them as 'orange dark brown' or 'Dark Orange Brown'. Or more accurately as Dark Marmalade. I'm a size 7, these are a size 8, so I expected a 'little give' but they fit beautifully and with a good width. I just have on some thin cotton socks at the moment, but with a good thick pair of working man's / walkers socks, they will be perfect. The quality is superb, and I walk a minimum of 10 -12 miles a day, every day, often a lot more. The heels and toe caps are reasonably re-inforced, without being steel toe-capped. No blisters etc. My only concern is a little chafing above the ankle bones, but I am so skinny with thin ankles, that this is unlikely to be a problem for 'normal people' and will probably get sorted with some thicker socks anyway. I'm no fashionista, but these boots just look so good! The reason these are only my second favourite boots is that I have a pair of ankle length leather Jodh boots (for riding) bought over 30 years ago, which cost £120 way back then (Manufacturer 'by appointment to her majesty the queen') Not that I'm a Royalist, or not one! lol. Only other gripe; boots were £44 but delivery was almost £8, which seems OTT, but they did arrive only 1 day after being ordered, not that I'd requested it, and weren't included in items 'eligible for free deliver' as I had also ordered 4 other items at the same time. Great boots though. :)
