Bowl holds far less than you think, about 2/3 or 3/4 of a cup of dry food. The bowl shape needs to be a bit deeper and curved to account for the angle as there is a lot of space that can't be used. Nothing really holds the bowl in place except for the two notches at the 12 and 6 o'clock position. Easy to dislodge if your cat is clumsy or rambunctious. The base is slick plastic on the bottom and slides easily on a flat surface. I've got it braced against a corner now but will likely add some anti-skid rubber feet to the bottom later.All that aside, my cats did take to it right off and I'll keep it.

Loved it , just wondering if the “lip” at bottom of bowl could project out more to keep food from spilling over. Most likely my error as I probably over fill
