I really like this cable so far, in my opinion for the cost to gain ratio this is a winner. The bass end is fairly "large", but it has a transparency so that it's not overpowering and woolly, likewise the high end is present without being harsh. I really like the input jacks, as they're very form fitting to my amp and guitar, likewise I feel this cable is less noisy than the fender cable I had been using previously. As for price compared to other brands, I had tried mogami gold & platinum, as well as live wire elite before hand. I like the live wire, but didn't like the rigidness of the cable. The mogami flat out didn't impress me. The planet waves seems to sound just as good if not better than both cables with the live wire coming in on it's heels. However, I don't really support super expensive cables, as I feel like your not getting what you pay for. All in all the american stage is a great, transparent sounding cable that won't be mistaken for sounding weak and muddy. The bass comes across beautifully clean, not quite as stout as the live wire elite, but more transparent. The high end and mid-range is noticeably more clear, and better clean in my opinion. Price played a big part in what I was comfortable spending on cables, and I think this met the criteria I was looking for.

I always read the worst reviews first, and I just read the worst review on this cable. As of today there are 2 negative reviews. I get no noise from my cable. I play guitar and I am not rough on my equipment , but because cables are usually on the floor, I step on them. I have had one for over a year and it still works like a new one. I bought another to have a spare and it is still unused. I will be buying a few more of these and Planet Waves mic cables as well to replace all of my mic cables. I honestly can say nothing bad about this company. I have dealt with their warranty department and they are extremely proactive and improve their products when necessary. For the money, you cant beat their cables and this one is AMERICAN MADE. That may not mean a lot to some, but it is the main reason I buy and will gladly endorse their product.

I've gotten lots of compliments on these cables from engineers both live and in studio. Affordable, durable, well built and look great. The slightly larger tips do make a big difference in connection. The quality to price ratio with these cables really can't be beat.

I've been playing guitars for many years now. Always purchased Monster cables because they offer "life time" replacement, price was a bit steep, but worth it. Planet Waves American Stage Guitar and Instrument Cable is better and cheaper, IMO. It's softer, looks cooler and no sharp edges and comes with "life time", as well. I'll definitely purchase again. The redesigned plug seems to work really well. My guitar amp had bad static when used with monster cable (worked fine with other amps, though), but when I plugged in Planet Waves cable, the problem disappeared!

If you are looking for a truly transparent guitar cable , this is it. I have the Fender Custom Shop 18 + foot for playing out and major practice , but for solo brush-ups , I was using the cable that came with my Strat , I unscrewed the ends and the solder joints seemed fine , but the sound was no where near as good as the F-CS. So I needed a short practice cable. After looking around and reading various reviews for different cables I was almost going to purchase the Mogami , but then I came across the PW and read all the positive reviews and it was less than 20 bucks , so I thought lets give it a try. WOW + WOW , this cable rocks solid , my home amp has never sounded better ( Fender SC-X2 / FSR ) If you have been missing the tone you thought you should have , then this cable is your ticket to tonal paradise For less than 20 bucks , geez , give it a good , you will not return it !! I think these cables are fantastic! I've used high end cables such as Mogami and Monster and I will say those high end cables do hold your tone really really well, but these Planet Waves American Stage cables also are great for keeping your tone. They probably don't do quite as good as something like a Mogami gold cable, but I also don't think the tiny difference in tone (generally imperceptible to the average person) is worth the extra $40 per cable. With that in mind, I bought super cheap cables a couple years ago, they were something like $7 each for 20ft cables. Well now they suck, my tone isn't as good, they constantly cut in and out, I get buzzing and electrical interference, it's a mess. That being said, I do think the difference in price between super cheap cables and something like these Planet Waves cables IS worth the money. I'll never go back to really cheap cables again.

This instrument cord works in every amp I’ve plugged it into. I use it for my Fender Strat and Epiphone Dove Pro. Will definitely buy again for myself and my BF who plays MULTIPLE guitars professionally.

El cable es de gran calidad. Es la segunda vez que compro el cable ya que la primera vez que lo hice mejoró mucho el sonido obtenido por mi guitarra, no mete ruido y la señal llega perfectamente entre la guitarra y el amplificador. Este segundo cable lo compro para una pedalera.

Pas grand chose à dire : solide, qualitatif, prises neutrik au top et un son parfait (rien à voir avec d'autres câbles, pourtant de "qualité" soit-disant... Je ne jure que par ceux-là, inutile d'aller chez Monster câble qui est 3x plus cher !

Fantastic instrument cable. The connectors are superb and seem to be designed and made a lot better than the regular TRS style connectors found on other cables. Highly recommended!
