Freestyle Libre Abbott Reader Genuine Leather Protective Carrying Case with Clip and Carrying Handle Black (Camo)

This glucose reader protective carrying case is easily one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon. It fits my Freestyle Libre 2 Flash Glucose Monitoring System by Abbott perfectly. All it took was to drop my reader once to realize how important it was that I find some means to protect it. I have a case to protect my phone during the inevitable drop, why not my glucose reader? I'm just surprised that the options for purchasing a case specifically designed for this reader is so limited. The seller of this case has filled a need with a quality item. The material is leather as stated and appears to be stitched together well. All of the holes line up for easy access eliminating the need to remove the device from the case for any reason. The only potential issue is that while the plastic touchscreen cover works good it does not work great. Occasionally, I find it necessary to make a little extra effort to get the screen to react to my touch when trying to make a selection. All in all, I don't think it's a big deal and does not detract from its overall worth and the benefit of the protection it provides. In addition, the time it took from purchase to delivery was much faster than I expected. The seller is listed as being in the Ukraine. Nine days for actual delivery is pretty darn good I think.

Case is about a 1/4" to wide. You have 2 choices: 1 line up the USB port and have power button not line up with the hole or 2. Line up the power button and have a big space between USB and the opening in the case. The Reader fits very Loosely inside the case and constantly moves around. When I plug in the USB cable the case in I the way prevent the cable to go all the way in the socket.The case is made well and look good the fit is terrible! I tried to work with the seller. He told me of all things, "You are not putting the reader in the case the right way" There should be only one to put the reader in the case so all the opening line up. See the attached pictures before you buy!

I bought this in the blue, and started waiting for delivery, expecting it to take forever, but it was delivered within 2 weeks. It’s very well-made out of very good quality leather and fits the libre reader very well. I bought a lanyard made out of metal and glass beads so I can wear it all the time and not have it shoved into a pocket or take the chance of leaving it somewhere. It has a belt clip on the back of you want to wear it on a belt or waistband.

I purchased this Abbott Freestyle Libre Reader Leather Protective Case for my Dad. I’ve been so worried that he would lose or damage his Reader before I could find a decent case for him, but no more worrying now!!This case is exactly as described and it fills all the requirements my Dad wanted out of a case!First, it’s extremely well made and it’s a perfect fit for his Freestyle Libre Reader! If it were to rub or smash up against something or even drop on a hard surface the reader would not get scratched or damaged! It’s just that great of a fit and that well protected. Secondly, it still scans, charges and uploads without having to remove it from this case. Also, as described, it comes with a clip & a carrying handle. It’s because of the great way this carrying handle was attached that I was able to remove it & then attach a rope to it fulfilling the last requirement my Dad wanted in a case! He wanted to wear it around his neck while still being able to scan without having to remove it from his neck or case. When I received my order - the charging plug hole in the case does not line up that great with the charging port on my Freestyle Libre reader. This case itself is also not my style - the pattern is cute, but it’s too bulky for me & not very functional (the clear thick plastic screen cover also makes it hard to select screen functions on the meter). I initiated a refund request, went to the post office per the return label only to find out this is made in the Ukraine, and USPS CANNOT LOCATE the return address for me to mail it back overseas. I contacted the seller who after several attempts and messages finally tells me to use DHL carrier to return to Ukraine. Well folks, it costs just as much for return shipping to the Ukraine as it does to buy this product. There is not a prepaid return label with the return authorization slip. So for me this was definitely not a good purchase and I am now stuck with this case that doesn’t function properly or line up with my meter. I will say it looks like it is truly handmade & stitched well, but my particular item/case was not properly measured for reader alignment. I am now looking into something else to carry my reader. All I wanted was to return this and get a refund.

This is a great case for my Freestyle Libre 2. It is sleek and attractive and the ports to my Libre 2 are in perfect alignment. The magnetic closed design is also a huge positive, it secures the case, but opens easily, so your access to the device is not hampered with. The internal clear plastic device covering does not get in the way of your devise reading the sensor.I wish they made a slightly larger case that this could fit inside of along with the cord and plug because the battery life in the Libre 2 leaves a lot to be desired (if you do not remember to charge it every other day, you need to carry the cord around with you or risk the Libre 2 dying in you).

I've been using this for months now. I wish it had come in a different color, because the sparkly pink leather has raised some eyebrows among my peers in the locker room. But, it does the job. It clings securely to my belt and protects the reader. The plastic covering over the screen is usable, but sometimes requires multiple pushes to navigate the screen. Everything aligns correctly. All the seams are tight, as expected. Would recommend.

I love this case. It is really beautiful and well made. I received it earlier than expected, which was a great surprise. The amount of attention that was paid to detail, as well as the perfection and time that must have been spent on it is awesome. It is well worth the price and I definitely recommend it.
