Very good quality. Nice and stable
Very good quality. Nice and stable. Its tall size is perfect for my 6' tall head. With my angled spotting scope I can do tree tops without extending the center section and if I want to extend it I can do star gazing without bending over. The only negative is that the foam padding on the 2 legs is really thin, not very comfortable and why do they only put the padding on 2 legs? To save a dollar? With a scope you have to remember to position it every time you carry it so you can line up with the "padding". I'll probably be looking for some thicker foam sleeves to slide over the legs.

Perfect for the serious enthusiast
When I upgraded to a Canon 6D, I need a new tripod system. After lamenting over these versus the 57 series legs, I opted for these, and it's something I do not regret. These are extremely well made. I find their weight to be more than manageable. I went with a Manfrotto 496RC2 ball head and that combination keeps my 6D sturdy, even with a 70-200 f/2.8 IS II attached. I highly recommend getting these legs for they should work in any situation! Also, this was much taller than I thought in person. With the head attached the camera is easily out of use with the optical viewfinder, and I'm 6' tall.

Got What I Paid For
The tripod came in good condition and was a solid as I expected it to be. I haven't been able to test it out yet, however, because there was no plate connected to the head. Didn't realize I would need to buy that separately. Therefore, this review is similarly incomplete.

Very happy with the tripod
It's a sturdy tripod. Fantastic for my food photography and landscape shots I've done. Not too heavy so I might even use it for travel photography. The only thing I didn't like was that it came with no manual. I had to look for the video in the manfrotto's website and that once assembled I cannot put it back into the bag. One more inch of space and it would fit perfectly. Overall very satisfied with my purchase. I would definitely recommend it.

good quality, a little bit heavy
I just received this product, it seems well manufactured with good quality. The leg adjustment is smooth and provide 2 angle adjustment. The only thing i concern about is the weight, I mean it's a little heavy but for the price, it's the best.

Sturdy tripod
I was looking for a sturdy tripod and already had a Manfrotto head. Buying this seemed like a better deal than buying a complete tripod. This tripod easily supports my Canon 6D or 5DMKII with the 70-200mm F/2.8 lens. It is very sturdy and feels solid. The legs are easily adjustable and can open up forming a wider base or to make for positioning on varying surfaces.

great height
No more bending over and breaking my back. This tripod is the right height, I only wish that the legs, when opened all the way, could go lower to the ground. You can turn the middle column upside down to get closer to the ground. Other than that, it is light and the leg locks are easy to operate and will stay put.

Missing parts
I love the tripod, but it came with a missing pan head locking screw. Since it was purchased used, the only option I was offered was to return it for a refund. I really like the tripod and head and don't feel like the fault was Amazon's but was the fault of Warehouse Deals. I decided to keep the rig and ordered a replacement from Manfrotto in Italy. Not every bargain is a bargain.
