All the makings of a great, lightweight, pack towel
Compact, lightweight, and quick drying. A great lightweight addition to any backpack or survival kit. Since I didn't see the weight listed, I asked the question above. Unfortunately everyone who answered was wrong. Thanks general public! The actual weight for the 23"x25" towel according to the tag on the towel itself is .88 oz (25 g). It's made of 85% polyester, 15% nylon. The marketing materials say it eliminates 99% of bacteria, fungus, mildew, athlete's foot mold and yeast and it repels odors. You'll see from the photos it is detachable via a plastic clip. It also has a carabiner making it easy to hang to dry out after use. The partial mesh bag seals via a Velcro closure. All in all, a well made towel. It feels a bit like a lens cleaning towel but with a bit more texture to it. I bought orange to double as a signaling device if needed while out backpacking but they offer many colors. Enjoy!

Outstanding fabric
I have two of these, one in orange and one in white (-ish). Good absorption, dries very quickly. Interesting scalloped doily style edging which may help with drying but doesn't add durability or he-man points. A small male plastic clip attaches to a female clip sewn to the inside of the cone-shaped half mesh storage bag. The bag attaches to whatever with a small aluminum carabiner. This works well and allows one to quickly pull out the cloth and use it either attached or detached from the bag. then quickly stuff it back in. For me the stuff-bag thingy is irrelevant as I tend to wear it as a bandanna or folded like a handkerchief. I just don't get why everything has to hang off your belt or pack or whatever by a carabiner clip. OK those have their place but it's stupid to walk around with a dozen gadgets swingin' around you.I also don't know who decided that 2 square feet is the ideal bandanna size. It's very common but if bandannas were 30 inches per side one could do a lot more with it. Like fold it into a useful carry bag, into an arm sling or sprained ankle wrap or hat for adults, or unfold it a useful sized table cloth. Modern lightweight low bulk fabrics like this one make carrying a bigger bandanna practical. The antibacterial properties seem to work well but I can't say for sure.

Great compact towel for traveling, the gym and outdoor activities!
I have a number of microfiber towels that I bought from REI and Amazon. Microfiber towels absorb a great deal of moisture and can be wrung out easily. Plus it dries quickly.Other microfiber towels this size do not compress to such a small size. This particular size is useful to use at the gym, hiking, biking, outdoor concerts and events, traveling, and generally walking around. I live in Atlanta where it is hot and humid during the summer. This towel comes in handy. Plus, I like to travel. Since space in my carryon is limited, this is perfect to take with me.You can either clip this to a belt or backpack, or it fits in your pocket. I was particularly impressed by this towel because it is small and fits into a small carry pouch. This size (23 x 25) is not only useful for wiping your face and hands, but will wipe your whole body and can be used for a bath towel in an emergency. After purchasing a number of microfiber towels, I definitely recommend this towel. This is a must have for anyone that is into hiking, biking, traveling, or walking outside a lot.

Perfect for backpacking
At first when i opened it, i said to myself...whoaa...what is this hankerchief? Yes it does look like a hankerchief, that thin, and feels like like polyester and nylon with a lacey trim. I am too lazy to return so i decided to give it a try. It really absorbs the water and since it is thin it dries off very fast. It is easy to wash and doesn't smell. It makes my REI travel towel look gigantic and feel heavy. It packs within the palm of your hand. If you want efficiency in packing with something that dries you off, this is the one you need. But if you look for some comfort in a towel, it is not there. It's for hostel living and backpacking. I bring both so one can replace the other one if lost or wet.Something new to pack!

Always comes in handy
This is a must have and covers a variety of uses. I carry one on my EDC bag and I use it all the time. I soak it and wrap it around my neck in the hot summer days, I wipe my hands, wipe sweat away, blow my nose, and in an emergency I can unsnap the towel and use it as an emergency bandana. I'm going to get a few more just because I like them that much.

Great towel for any ocasion
Great towel that stays handy when needed. Love the fact that it detaches so you can clean just the towel if needed so you can keep the pouch looking new. I would change a thing.

Useful towel
I used this towel while backpacking through Europe and staying in hostels. It's a great towel because it folds up small, is lightweight, and dries quickly. The only complaint is that it can never get you completely dry like a plush towel -- I was always a bit damp even after drying myself. Still, I recommend this towel to anyone camping or backpacking.
