Lightweight and easy to handle and it comes with picture directions so you don't hold it upside down (like I did). Seems to work great on knives and scissors both. I intend to sharpen everything in the house! Sure is easier than using a whetstone. Even works on a small bladed pair of surgical scissors. You can't get it wrong because the edge is preset and there are little pictures showing which slot is for knives and which is for scissors. Like Sharpening for Dummies!

I use another sharpener for my knives, but this works well for the scissors. I sharpened two sets of scissors and I got noticeable improvement. So for that alone it's worth it if you do a bit of cutting. The only downside is, if you have left handed scissors, you'll have to take them apart to run it through this. The design of this doesn't allow for using it in either direction, but I imagine that's true for any hand held sharpener. If you do a lot of cutting with left-handed scissors, I would suggest getting something that sits on a table and is designed to approach it from either side.

Razor sharp.
Felt a little awkward to use at first but after the first time I got the hang of it and now all my scissors and knives felt like new. My wife cannot stand it when I go sharpen the knife just to cut an apple but my reaction to it is: I have it why not use it. Haha!

product arrived very quickly and in perfect shape.....I quickly used it to sharpen many dull scissors and even my small garden tools! It perform as advertised and also used it on my husbands pocket knifes....I highly recommend this product to everyone without hesitation!

This tool is very easy for me to use
This tool is very easy for me to use; I don't need a lot of strength to make it work right and that's a big plus for me. I have used other sharpeners but this one is by far the most user friendly. It works much better on my kitchen scissors than any others I have tried. Also it doesn't take up much room in my kitchen gadget drawer. I highly recommend it.

Useful for lots of things
Have used it for pocket knives, kitchen knives, 2 types of scissors, and even the ax I use to split firewood - got to use a file first, then finish the edge with the knife sharpener. Works well for all these applications.
