Insulated Wellington Boots - W258E

I bought these as replacements for my old black wellies as I thought paying a bit more for a more upmarket brand would be worth it and i wear wellies a lot when I take our dog out. I had read previous reviews which said the sizes were quite large so I went for a 7 instead of my usual 8 and true enough they fitted so it seems the sizes are about a size bigger than normal. I was very happy with the look and feel of the wellies and the ease with which I could put them on and take them off. the side straps are very good for adjustment. Unfortunately and for reasons I can't explain, I find actually walking in them uncomfortable. After about 5 minutes the outside edges of both my feet ache and I find I literally cannot walk in them for more than 20 minutes. At first I thought it was because they were new, and they are quite heavy, so I persisted for 2 weeks and they still hurt my feet so I bought some gel inserts and still they hurt my feet. I have had them now for about 6 weeks so don't think I can return them so I'll probably advertise them on ebay for about £20 and hope to cut my losses. I am currently back to using my old (cheap) black wellies. I have no idea why these hurt my feet, I don't have a problem with any other footwear.

These arrived safe and sound and within a few days of ordering, boots fit but are slightly on the loose side but nothing that a pair of winter socks will not cure, I won't be jogging in them that's for sure, normal shape for welly boots I feel, and as others have wrote maybe order a size smaller.My biggest surprise was that these were on sale at out local garden centre for £60 quid where we tried them on for size.... so the two pairs that we got we saved £40 always worth checking on Amazon before spending that hard earned cash... :-)

While the foot fitted perfectly there was no shape through the ankle. From the ankle opening they seemed to flair straight up/out. This meant that if I waggled my for the boot would come off. With extra socks and the adjustable strap done up it made no difference except my foot was cramped in the boot.Big disappointment was the cost I had to go through with the return postage!

Shortly after placing the order I contacted the seller directly to try to change it for a different colour. I received and e-mail response within hours and unfortunately the alternative colour was only available in a wide fitting so I decided to stay with the original order. Despite my attempts to change things the product still arrived within two days even though I had only paid for standard delivery. The service by the seller was 5 star. I also, hasten to add, that the wellingtons themselves are excellent. I use them for regular long walks with the dog and in the current wet and stormy weather they are perfect. Comfortable to wear, warm and above all waterproof. I would recommend them to anyone with the only reservation that on wet and greasy surfaces they can be a little slippery but still a good all round product.

Love these Wellies! I work in them at least once a week for more than 8 hours, slipping them on and off and regularly hosing down and washing them. Had them for nearly a month now, kept my feet lovely and warm and dry! They are a perfect style for my larger calves as well, and they are the first pair I have had that I can slip on and off without even having to tug them on. I could have done with going a size down however, they come up slightly big. Would definitely purchase again.

These wellies are huge and quite heavy. Very robust and the material is quite thick. I brought these to work in the garden and take the dog for walks in the countryside, where i would normally walk 3 miles or so, in these i was struggling as they are so heavy. Order a size down and don't go walking in them.

Great pair of boots, feel warm when feet inside with the neoprene lining, i bought some sock liners but to be honest i needn't have bothered. Great as expected fit, true to size for me, no need to go up or down, i must admit i did ponder this for some time before ordering but needn't have worried. Recommended highly, great price too.

Arrived promptly and seem well made. 3mm neoprene lining very comfortable compared to usual cotton linings, and so good to be able to take your feet out without being grabbed by the inside! - time will tell re ruggedness but they look as good as any I have previously had. "Standard" wellington tread, and not to dissimilar to top brand at 2-3 x the price. The calf tighteners are also similar to hunter design. Bought these as some reviews for the top brands suggesting they are not as resilient as they were. Time will tell if these Woodland are more resilient
