Basildon Bond P4TO 178 x 229 mm Writing Pad with 40 Sheets - Airmail White

If you're old enough to remember writing on traditional onionskin airmail paper such as Eaton's, you'll be disappointed -- this is more like ordinary writing paper, just thinner. That said, it's really good paper, and pairs well with my fountain pen. I have no problem writing on both sides of the page. Just keep in mind that Basildon Bond comes in British sizes, so you'll need British envelopes as well.

I wasn't sure what to expect but this writing paper has exceeded my hopes: the paper is absolutely perfect for fountain pens (no doubt therefore also fine for ballpoint pens), so smooth that the pen just glides over the page. It's much more opaque than expected too - I didn't bother using both sides but I probably could have done. No problem with the ink soaking in or blots either. I will definitely be buying more when these 2 pads have been used up. What a shame it's no longer possible to buy airmail paper on the high street - though if I use the in-shop post office the staff always ask ME where they can get airmall paper!

Nice paper and not heavy at all.

I started to write letters to my friends during the lockdown and all have been pleased and surprised. This note pad was needed for a friend in Canada. Paper is lightweight as is needed for airmail but still good quality and strong.
