Q: Is this punch heavier in weight than a regular EK punch with only one option instead of 3?

This is my first EK punch so I'm not sure. I did not fine it hard to punch if that helps.

Q: Would this work on tissue paper?

I think tissue paper is too delicate. This paper punch is really hard to use. You have to put too much pressure to make it work so I think it would rip it.

Q: Why are batteries required if it’s a manual punch?

I purchased this punch a couple of years ago and no batteries are required. It is completely manual but has about 3 stages (you can punch more out of the butterfly by clicking a switch) but it is still completely manual - no batteries.
