Supportive, Comfortable, and Durable Walking Boot
The Aircast AirSelect Walker Brace/Walking Boot is excellent! It provides strong support and stability for foot or ankle injuries, making walking much more comfortable during recovery. The adjustable straps and air cushioning allow for a customized fit, and the boot feels sturdy yet not overly bulky. I’ve found it to be durable and effective at reducing pain while protecting the injured area.

Best choice!!!!
This one is the winner!!! I have three other braces and this one is the most comfortable, the lightest weight and the most supportive. I am a big girl and have large calves, and this still works. I do recommend buying a nice cast stock or I bought a set of tall diabetic socks. Without the sock, there are a few spots that can be a little irritating with the front insert but with the sock it is very comfortable. You might be tempted to get the short version, but I promise you that the taller version will offer you way more support.

Comfortable and worked great!
Exactly what I needed. Way better than the boot I got from the doctor initially. Comfortable and safe. I also used a shim on my healthy foot for balance because I typically wear shoes with thin soles. I had a broken metatarsal that was surgically repaired with a metal plate. Once I was able to moved to this boot in the healing process I was so grateful. I needed reminders at times to take it easy but this greatly increased my ability to get around. My boot has since been used by 2 other friends with foot injuries.

Works very well and helped quite a bit.
Liked: Lower price than what the doctors office charges. (which my doctor confirmed) Well made, easy to put on and take off. Light weight Came with long socks. Dislike: The valve connector at the back of the leg inside the boot seems to dig into the back of my calf. I had to put a bit of cushioning over that to be more confortable. The small narrow velcro strip on the back top of the boot came undone and I will have to reglue it to help the top back padding strip to stay in place. The push button inflator seems a bit flimsy, but it worked and never failed for me. The release valve takes a lot of pressure to release the air, and hurt my little fingers, so I didn't use it very often. I twisted my ankle and tried NOT to go to the doctor since I couldn't afford the cost with my high deductible. After trying to work in my kitchen for over 4 hours and being in extreme pain, once the boot came that same afternoon, I put the boot on, and NO MORE PAIN! It really immobilized my foot/ankle and really worked well. When I finally did go see my doctor, he was a bit put out that I purchased it on my own, but then confirmed that this boot was purchased at a really good price, and it was just what I needed to immobilize my ankle. Note, Ankle injuries need a long boot. Foot injuries need just a short boot. which was confirmed by my doctor. Hint: Purchase the Pro Care EvenUP shoe Balancer which you wear on your opposite shoe so it balances you out when you walk.

Buy This One
This aircast walking boot was recommended to me by my podiatrist for post-surgery on my foot. The first thing I want to say is after being non-weight-bearing for 8 weeks, walking in a boot is not a natural movement. It takes a while to get used to the mechanics of walking again while still dealing with foot and toe tingling and numbness. With all that aside, I'm happy my doctor recommended this specific boot. I like that I was able to order the "short" version. I'm 5'5" and the standard size boot the clinic gave me didn't work at all. It's a good thing I had already purchased this one to use. It'll come in handy when I have surgery on the other foot. There are many different styles and brands of boots out there. This is an excellent choice and worth the money.

Outstanding stability and support.
Outstanding stability and support. I was given another brand (Advantage) initially by my doctor and the shorter one is more comfortable and great on flat surfaces or in the car. This tall AirCast allows me to walk much better on uneven surfaces like our back yard and paths in the woods.

It Fits! Great Performance on a 12-Week Real World Test
Two days after our podiatrist sold my wife an Icelandic boot that was awkward and slow to take on and off, impossible to keep adjusted with its 10 or 12 Velcro tabs, and which was uncomfortable and at times painful, I selected this boot and bought it, along with two "hygiene covers" that precisely fit it. Our podiatrist was nice enough to refund what the bad Icelandic boot cost--which was almost twice the cost of this boot from Amazon. The AirSelect fit well and was infinitely more comfortable. My wife proceeded to wear it for 12 weeks while her 5th metatarsal bone healed. Its hygiene cover allowed her to wear the boot inside our home, where we don't allow outdoor shoes, and this AirSelect product held up fine for 12 weeks--its two built-in mini-pumps did their job and nothing ever leaked. Its Velcro was still functional, though the inner cloth it bit into was somewhat chewed up at the end of the 12 weeks. The boot took her all over town, into offices and stores, and then onto planes and on very rough (even some cobblestone) streets for two weeks of a multicity vacation that had been bought before she broke her foot bone. After 12 weeks the sole of the boot is worn but is not worn out. The boot did not fail her; she developed a reasonable gait quickly and appeared to be walking normally after a week or two. Her bone healed as our podiatrist had hoped for; he never said one bad word about the boot. I hope it's never necessary, but we would certainly buy this product again. One note: We bought a "weather cover" for the boot to handle rain, but it never fit the boot correctly. The weather cover also presented several inconveniences by its design. My wife removed it and walked through some rain (but no snow) without getting her feet wet enough to talk about.

I returned it back and still waiting for refund. The product I recieved was very low quality and not an aircast by any means.
