Scale froze and stopped working on Day 4, but replacement is a gem
I liked it for the three days that it worked. Day 4, I was wiping the scale with damp cloth and the weight shot up to 5000 grams where it stayed frozen. Won't shut off, neither of the buttons work.I gave it 2 instead of 1 star as it seemed accurate when it worked and it is a handsome scale.Am returning for a refund.Update: I was contacted by the seller who shipped a replacement scale, cautioning that the upper weight limit is 11 pounds. The first thing I did was to put heavier object on scale and received an EEEE message but the scale did not freeze. This is absolutely what should happen if too much weight is put on any digital scale.So I upgraded my review to 5 stars as I really like the scale when it works properly, which this replacement now does. A note about the light: the light goes out very quickly while still showing the weight of the food on the scale, but a slight touch to the platform gets it to light up again. Nice battery saver.Although I prefer buttons to a touch screen, the touch screen is responsive and takes you through the various weight displays from ounces to lb. ounce to gram to kg.A note about the included batteries: although there is a small tab against one battery terminal to prevent the scale from activating, removing the tab does not mean the scale will work as each battery also has a plastic cover which must be removed. Not sure why the double protection and could see where someone would return the sale as not working because of this.I am now satisfied and only time will tell as to the longevity of the scale but the seller's efforts to make things right go a long way in guaranteeing this item.

which make the conversion calculation super annoying when you need to convert 1 lb 14
Way to sensitive when i touch anywhere nearby the LED display and it is ON, when I didn't mean to use it.Also, the weigh option doesn't come with pounds in decimal... which make the conversion calculation super annoying when you need to convert 1 lb 14.5 oz to decimal. This is now sitting in the counter top with batteries taken and I am using my old kitchen scale.

This is perfect. Edit: to an extent
This is perfect. I'm not too crazy about the tempered glass weighing surface--it feels like I should have a protective mat on it or something.However, it's accurate for my needs, stylish, and cheap.EDIT: There are a few quirks with the scale I'm not so crazy about. Taking off 2 stars.1) Since there's no physical buttons, it has the tendency to double tare if you are moving too quickly. There's nothing like adding some flour to the bowl only to realize that the scale tared it out half way through. Good luck guesstimating from there.2) You can't start the scale if there is a weight on top of it (like the mixing bowl). It gives you an error message. You have to start it, put the bowl on, and then re-tare. That's a bit of a hassle.3) I'm not sure if I trust this thing for smaller weights anymore. Adding salt to a bread recipe, the machine jumped from 0-5-20-45 grams even when I was pouring very slowly (It read 0 for 4 seconds, 5 for 4 seconds, etc.)

easy to use and read
Starting a new heart healthy diet and most of the ingredients are by weight. I had an old scale with the big needle and dial - not very accurate. I'm liking this new scale very much: easy to use and read. I've tested it with items that have a printed weight and it's accurate every time. Also sleek and nice looking; a space saver.

Basic scale that does its job perfectly.
Love this scale!Right out of the box works great. Tested weight of multiple objects at different points on the scale and it was calibrated beautifully (all points returned same weight). Very easy to use and never having to guesstimate my calories is amazing. I use this scale for every meal and anyone serious about nutrition should look in to getting one.

Great little scale
It works perfectly and, whether it is accurate to within a fraction of one gram is not relevant to me. I didn't test it, to that level. It accurately weighs to well within an ounce and, as such, is more than adequate for my needs.

Good food scale.
Great scale so far! Does exactly what it's designed to do and it looks great. Small and compact so it fits on my kitchen counter and doesn't take up much space.
