Jaya 100% Compostable 6.5" Heavy Duty Cutlery, Fork, White, 1000-Count Case

I've used these for years. Never had an issue with them. They were reasonably strong and I loved that they are compostable.It appears they changed something in manufacturing, likely to cut cost. These spoons are extremely brittle, now. Some come out of the package already broken. I've resorted to checking with minor flexing to make sure it's not going to break in my food, and even that isn't a 100% guarantee.I'm going to have to find another brand, I guess. I absolutely cannot allow my guests to use these.

I love that I don't have to feel guilty for using disposable tableware. These hold up to just about any task I have given them - they do occasionally break just at the end of the handle if pressing too hard with the fork - but I have not had a complaint from anyone in my family nor anyone at one of our parties. I have actually had two different requests for the name of the brand and where I got them. I'll keep buying them on our delivery schedule! Hope they don't disappear like so many environmentally friendly options do after a time.

Would have given it five stars, but for the money, just way too expensive for me to continue to justify as a business expense. I was going through many cartons of plastic for my business and then Amazon raised the price after purchasing twice to almost double! Maybe this is just analytic algorithms identifying increased demand from my IP address?! I'll investigate by clearing cookies and browsing "incognito" and see if I can get a better price. For around $40 - great! For $80, just too much for to help save the planet. Sorry. Love the idea and the product works great (haven't actually ever tried composting). I use for public consumption.

These forks remind me of the ones we first started out with at work when we decided to go pure compostable. They snap. Now, these don't snap near as much as the first generation compostable cutlery. However, these do snap more than comparable plastic cutlery or the top of the line compostable cutlery which we went to at work. So, if you need a low price and don't care about breaks, this product fits the bill.

I was looking for a small sampling spoon. This would be good for ice cream or something like that, but I need the smaller portion size just for little samples of product. I can find what I need in plastic, but so far not in a compostable material.

These spoons are used for a chili cook off - they are very smooth and comfortable to use and feel good in your hand.We started using them when one of the participants asked for bio degradable spoons and cups because we use over 1,000in just a few hours. This saves on trash and the price is comparable to plastic.

Cheaper than most compostable forks and are a really good quality. Will be using these from now on.

These are in fact great spoons, but I can't justify buying them again with this insane price increase. In 2019 I paid $95 for 750, and now they're $352!!

Caveat emptor: these do not come with instructions. If you don't have prior fork-using experience, you'll be in for some trouble. I poked myself several times, in the palms of my hands. Tip: the pokey end is for spearing your food.Seriously, these forks function much as one would expect.
