Five Tales Kindle Edition

Galsworthy is a wonderful writer. I am rating this edition which appears to have been printed from a Kindle file. There is no publisher, no cover page, the first story starts on the first page inside the cover, the text is ~ 8 font, and the binding is cheap. The cover is attractive in order to sell the book on-line but this is not a published book, merely a print-out of text. Avoid this.

Freud mentions Galsworthy's tales in his Civilizations and Its Discontents. JG is masterful with his language. A genuinely delightful read.

The first tale was a really suspenseful, film noir type of story which really had me hopeful for the rest of the book. By comparison, the rest of the tales were a bit of a letdown with the exception of the middle one. Cannot highly recommend this one, but if you must, like I said, go for one and three first.
