One of Annabel Joseph's best heros.
This is really my favorite of Annabel Joseph's novels so far. I, like many other readers, really wanted to know what became of Kyle since he had such a great heart in Comfort Object. He was such an enigma in that book that it was so great to finally get his story. As usual, Annabel Joseph really shines in her ability to flesh out these two people so that you can really begin to care about them as the story progresses. Is Caressa a bit childish and horrible? Absolutely. And I've always hated when people say, talented people can be difficult. But, she was pretty young in this story and she'd been living a pretty sheltered existence (in terms of normal human experiences) up until the time she met Kyle. She bypassed normal growing up things but still kept a lot of her childish behaviors. And once her full back story is revealed, I think it makes a lot of sense why she would behave in the ways she did. Also, to be so amazingly talented all your life, it must be hard to know who really cares about you for who you are verses what you can do especially in her circumstances.Anyway, Kyle is just about one of the best male characters I've ever read. From Comfort Object, you already know that he's just someone who likes to take care of others, it's what makes him good at his job. But it's his capacity to care about Caressa (even though he does some stupid things along the way) to me is what is so great about the book. He offers Caressa something that we all need: To be loved when we are unlovable.

Hot and Crazy. And hot.
This is the second book in the Comfort Series and really makes a lot more sense if you've read the first one, Comfort Object. I don't really think it works as a stand alone so do yourself a favor and get both. The author presents a quick, hot, enjoyable read for those looking for an escape from the humdrum of most lives. The characters are mostly over the top rich and beautiful without spending a whole lot of time with real world issues like jobs and such. The Hero is HOT and the Heroine is a little CRAZY. They mostly just have sex. Lots and lots of kinky sex. Not that there is anything wrong with that. There is a love story in there too, and conflict, and supporting characters, and spanking. Lots and lots of spanking. This book touches on BDSM issues but it is within a consentual monogamous relationship between adults and, dare I say it, a little vanilla. It is well written although the author struggles to keep the sex scenes fresh and after a while they all seem a little bit alike. You know, Tab A goes into slot B, rollover and repeat. Still a quick and enjoyable escapist read.

A Good Read
A great sequel to " Comfort Object" I was happy Kyle got his own story! He went through hell in the first book and now he finds his heaven and love in this book! The sex scenes are beautiful, not too much bdsm, but some . The sex scenes are more like love making and not just sex in this. Kyle and Caressa are a wonderful couple ! I just didn't like the tantrums that Caressa had. She's a 20 year old that acts like she's 5 but being famous can do that to you! Just look at all the famous people that have breakdowns( not going to name anyone.... Brittney spears! Lol) but other than that it's a beautiful touching book and I definitely would recommend it! I didn't know if I would like it, I didn't think it could live up to " comfort object"'s story but it is just as good if not better....

A first time
This is the first time I give a five-star rating to an erotic story. 'Caressa's Knees' is very well written and the characters have enough depth to interest the reader in their behavior and evolution. We may not always understand why Melissa acts the way she does, but she doesn't herself. Neither does Kyle at the beginning, but he slowly finds out. He, on the other hand, always has a reason for what he does, although he sometimes wonders - he wouldn't be human if he didn't - if he is doing the right thing. Some readers express doubts as why should a man like Kyle love a needy brat like Caressa. I would suggest he does because 'needy brat' is far from fully defining Caressa. He clearly sees in her someone who is worth saving and loving, someone with the ability to love him back. He once describes her as a goddess with the power to put him in awe of her. A damaged goddess, to be sure, but a goddess nonetheless.I definitely will buy other books by Ms. Joseph and hope I will enjoy them as much as I dis this one.

Delightful and Sexy
First, let me say that I just completed the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy, and I yearned for a tale that held similar themes. Caressa's Knees did not disappoint. The composition is a quick and easy read, and the characters are well developed. The story-line was a bit to simple, but this is to be expected by a fledgling author. Annabel Joseph should be proud of her narrative. This book does contain themes of BDSM, however, the author lighting peppers the novel with this subject matter. The dom/sub relationship comes across as more of a sensual and romantic exploit, then that of an overt and barbarous act. Sexy. Tantalizing. Luscious, and worth the read.

Great story BUT too graphic for me
I bought this book even though it warned people that it was heavy bdsm I loved the story of Caressa who is a concert chello player and Kyle her new assistant It is a wonderful story of a tempermental artist and a man who tries to make her see the world around her and not just the music she plays He is her first sexual partner and he intrduced her to bdsm Some of the things he does to her to teach her about control were just too much for me It is really a good story and if you don't mind the heavy sex then by all means get it

Disappointed!
I read "Comfort Object" and loved it, I thought it was a complicated, engaging story. I loved Kyle in that book and was looking forward to reading this. However, this book did not flow for me. I don't understand what Kyle sees in Caressa at all. She just comes across as very bratty and even though the book is told from both their points of view I just can't understand her character. I am so disappointed! I gave up around the 60% mark.
