Cratoni C-Maniac Bicycle Helmet

Having had a nasty accident on my bike recently and losing a few teeth after a tarmac faceplant, I spent a lot of time looking for a helmet that was lightweight, maintained good vision and hearing but had face protection built in but wasn’t a more bulky full face down hill mountain bike helmet.This is it. Absolutely chuffed to bits with this helmet. It’s so easy to adjust and super comfortable. It’s stylish, lightweight and is a perfect hybrid solution to road riding with a full face helmet.Chin straps are easy to adjust thanks to quick release clips and the adjuster wheel on the back of the helmet means you get a perfect and comfortable fit every time.Road riding visibility from inside the helmet is not compromised at all, and you easily hear cars approaching from behind.I’m honestly chuffed to pieces with this helmet and even my 15 year old son has tried and loved it. It really does look and feel great.Not sure this would be a great helmet for fast downhill off-roading. Just how protective that face guard would be at high speed, it’s does have flex in it unlike the usual downhill full face helmets.But I feel confident if I came off on the road again, I wouldn’t smash out any more teeth, either mine or the implants.Would definitely recommend a full face helmet to anyone. The cost of the protection is way WAY less than the cost of replacement teeth!

When I first tried this helmet on I thought I should have bought a smaller size because it felt too loose and spacious but once I had taken some time adjust the chin strap correctly and used the adjuster wheel at the back of the helmet to tighten up the headband I found it to be very comfortable, so much so that I am barely aware of it on my head, it is ultra light and airy. I bought it to use while riding an electric unicycle at a modest speed, I am over 70 years old and aware that a fall at speed is something that neither I nor the helmet would survive. The thing is that if I had used my full face motorcycling helmet I know that, while it gives more protection at speed than this ultra lightweight Cratoni helmet can give, it would be uncomfortably heavy and sweaty to wear at low speeds unlike on a motorbike where 30 mph is the minimum speed one normally rides at which gives a cooling effect. So, I look forward to gliding around on my new EUC between 5 and 15 miles per hour - I've already hit 10 mph in a local office carpark - scary, eh? It was a mild January day and EUC riding is surprisingly warm work so I was down to my shirtsleeves and protective gear and I did not overheat thanks to this helmet.

An amazing helmet! Both lightweight and with great vendilation, I use it daily without a single problem (even in the heat of Crete...). It suits me perfectly, and its multi-adjust system helps the rider to bring it exactly where he wants it. I know that it is not designed to use it in large road rides (as you can not eat while you were it, something important in a brevet or a long ride) but I use it as well, as its "jaw" is removable. And (something personal) - it just looks great! The only problem I found was a slight misfitting at the inner cover of the "jaw" (I corrected it with a few silicon glue), but nothing important.I will definitely recommend it - whether you are looking for an off road helmet or for something to use it daily, its a great choice.

Great Helmet,been using for a while now and cannot report any problems or complaints.Not a cheap helmet, but design is second to none ,with detachable chin guard, that looks very cool, while protecting the face, (my favourite part of the body to land on).Good visibility, great fit with excellent quick adjustment system.Very high safety specs.Highly Recommended Helmet.

This is a great looking helmet, extremely light and does not make your head over heat like some full face helmets. BUT they come up SMALL just like the Bell Super 2R. Order a size up, I will have to return mine. Other than that, great product

I bought this for my cycle mad 3 year old and it has been money well spent. It's super light and fits beautifully so she can wear it comfortably for hours on end. It's very stylish and people comment on it everywhere she goes. The clasp is also easy enough for her to fasten and undo herself. Highly recommend this product!

Had to send he first one back as chin guard did not clip in.Good strap.I paid to only £22 on a sale price at full price I would look at others as well.
