A Swiss army knife, for your hands.
As an EMT, any tool that'll make my job a lot easier without being cumbersome is a ok in my bag; most especially when it comes to utility gloves. I need a glove that is light, easy to put on, and can grip like a lobster, this glove does it and then some.I've chosen Mechanix since a lot of my crewmembers swear by it and often carry two pairs at work. I figured, "why not? If it works, I'd give it a shot.Eventually I got mine as shown and in medium. The glove fits, perfectly! Not a flaw on the glove and I don't even feel any heft on this. The gloves also has a breathable area behind the fingers; making it relatively comfortable to wear in hot weather. What I like most about this glove is that it has a hard, plastic-like shield on the knuckles. Super handy when reaching into something surrounded by sharp glass or when things go "Code 5" on that one 911 call. It may also be great for paintball as well, though I have yet to try it out.The grip on this one is not to be underestimated, either. I use this a lot when carrying patients using either a stairchair or the Reeves. It never let's me down and it GRIPS. I 'm only about 5'4" with short legs and even shorter arms....kind of hard getting any leverage lifting patients out of a house and into a stretcher. Having extra grip certainly helps a lot and this glove does it well. That and being durable doesn't hurt, either. Still looks new after several months use. And I like the fact that it is completely in tactical black unlike the other Mechanix gloves I've seen so far, where the logos are contrasted in white or other super bright colors. The blacked out glove gives that "I mean business" look, and it is awesome. If there's any drawbacks to this, it's not a substitute for disposable gloves. You cannot use these gloves to handle bodily fluids for other hazmat. Check with your local protocols first. Also, it's not insulated for cold weather use and it is not waterproof. And just like most gloves, precision work is limited unless you either purchase the fingerless versions or cut the fingers yourself.Other than that, it's worth the investment. While it is primarily tailored for LE/military duties, it certainly works great for almost any job you can think of. If I ever lose this for any reason, I will gladly buy these again.

These glove will “free” up your hands to do just about anything.
OJ would be jealous of these fine, well constructed, easily hidden gloves. They work great protecting my hands from debris, sharp objects and guilty verdicts.

Nice Gloves…But
These are nice gloves, but they run small. I always take XXL, but these were really hard to put on. If the wrist was just a big larger, they would be fine. I will be wearing them quite a bit in hopes they break in after a bit. I purchased them for shooting, but they could be used for heavy wrenching. The dexterity of the gloves are not good enough to do fine mechanic work. They may not have enough dexterity for shooting but we shall see. I sure do wish they had been just a bit bigger though. Oh well, I guess I will keep looking.

Comfortable “tactical” gloves with decent knuckle protection
I bought these gloves to replace a pair of Oakley SI Assault gloves and although I prefer the hard Kevlar knuckle of the Assault gloves, I like these Mechanix gloves more overall. These gloves (mine are the newer version of the MP3 with the rubber knuckle) have a better fit overall (palms, fingers, and thumb) and feel more durable (and the stiching quickly went on my old pair in between my thumb and index finger). I also love that these gloves have a strap that allows the gloves to be secured together (with a carabiner or something similar).I have yet to wear these gloves when shooting, but my initial impression is that they will work better than my SI Assault gloves - with those gloves I once got the excess material from my thumb stuck in a shotgun feed ramp and the stiching at the edges of the fingers was excessively cumbersome, so much so that I could not manipulate a slide release or load a magazine. These gloves also fit much more true to size and - at least on the XXL pair I ordered - the finger length is a better fit.As for the rubber knuckle on these Mechanix MP3 gloves, don’t expect the same degree of protection as on a pair of gloves with a hard Kevlar knuckle. With my SI Assault gloves, the knuckle felt impenetrable (but the overall fit was worse...). With this rubber knuckle, it’s definitely better then no protection if you were to hit something/someone, but I would NOT want to hit something hard with a balled fist wearing these gloves.

Great gloves
I own several types of Mechanixwear gloves. This is a nice addition. I ordered it in XXL and it still fits tight.

Quality, military trusted for a reason.
I've been buying Mechanix and 5.11™️ combat gloves for just about 4 years now and this pair is the longest standing pair I own, only just starting to show their age. But if you need Combat gloves, these are them. Not too heavy, comfortable once borken in, great construction for the price in my experience. And they're just cool. Not good for warmth but hey, that's not what these are for. Also check Garand Thumb (youtube) for his personal gear suggestions. Good guy 👍

Tough and reliable. A good compromise between durability and dexterity.
The M-pact 3 gloves posses great durability. EVA padding on the finger joints combined with the thermoplastic rubber knuckle guard greatly reduces impact. Be weary: to maintain flexibility of the trigger finger the joints are not protected with EVA padding and you will notice. The gloves fit comfortably. No complaints regarding how they fit around my hands although it took a little while to get use to having, for all intents and purposes, “wider hands”.The gloves’ durability comes at the cost of some dexterity when comparing to sone of the leather options from Mechanix. However there is still ample dexterity to go around but it is advised that you get use to this before you embark on any task that requires fast reactions. Personally I’d chose the durability with this minor lack in flexibility over something else that will tear, like my leather gloves did.Final word of praise: The synthetic leather is great for touch screens. I was able to use such technology no matter how dirty the gloves got. The same can not be said for leather gloves. You need only be conscious of the increased surface area on your fingers when using them.
